A 1ghz Dual core won't cut it for MWO unfortunately.

Seconded, you're gonna need more power.

What graphics card do you have? i run MWO on my M14x, and most of the time when the patches are optimized I get about 20 fps and above. the main reason we are having a hard time is because directx 11 is not implemented yet, but dont worry, if you get 10 fps now, then when Directx 11 is here, you will see improvement. I know this for a fact because I was in closed beta when they had Directx 11, and I could run the game on high with 30 fps and above.

Also, try this program: http://www.iobit.com/gamebooster.html

Kind of an older thread to dig up, but it did raise an eyebrow. . . GameBooster still exists? O.o

Essentially all this program does is close out some TSRs and temp disable some not strictly necessary windows services. . but I guess if you've got an old old OLD machine you might see a small improvement. . .

It's had some new features since then, and even Razer have jumped on it and have basically a re skinned version in beta.
It's still not amazing, and only provides a small boost on modern systems, but like you say older systems may benefit more

If you want to play on an 11" laptop, look into retiring your ancient 11X and check out a Sager NP6110. I got one for school and I play at 40fps on high with the i7 3630QM 2.4ghz and a GTX650M

The game ran just fine on mine (on minimum settings) before they changed a bunch of stuff in the last 3-4 patches. So, basically you're screwed now OP, sorry.

Alternatively, pinmod it and OC it as fast as you can and with a graphics card OC you can probably still play it.
