I generally hate 'vs' games between two different universes, they rarely work outside of fighting games in my opinion

Mechwarrior: Heavy slow mechs that are tougher, very manuverable, and have blasters and autocannons
basically macross mechs can run circles around mechwarrior but when they trip its over, plus a core explosion would destroy a battalion of them instantly!

Dude, you COMPLETELY FORGOT about Alien Vs. Predator. They are/were seperate franchises at one point.
Anyway, I would like to play a gaem between Battletech and Macross. Wait, I have a better idea. It should be a TRIAL OF POSSESION OVER THE UNSEEN MECHS! Whoever wins would keep the rights to all of the Unseen mechs.
Anyway,

...Now, Fang of the Sun Dougram, on the other hand, is pretty much "Battletech: The Anime". Political intrigue, Guerrilla warfare, and Slower giant robots... All fighting alongside hovercraft, tanks, and infantry. That said, though, it might be a little too similar. For that matter, I'm a little disappointed that the series never got published in the west, nor has it been visited for anything but toys ever since.
Front Mission would make a decent-looking matchup. The fighting style seems much more compatable. The only issue you'd face would be benchmarking. That is to say, "how much damage does that Wanzer's Machine Gun deal against Battletech armor" and the like.
