You can get your ballistic projectiles to fly in cool sine-wave patterns.

Nope, they haven't. Been around for ages. As far as I'm concerned the central entrance to the ice trench is the most common place for it to happen, but it's occured in other places too.

Is this the same bug as standing in the entrance and having your reticle dead square on target but your shot goes flying off at a weird 45 degree angle?

I figured as much. When I play beta games I'm generally pretty forgiving on stuff like that. As long as I don't randomly glitch and fly into space I'm happy.

hey its a very cool glitch- they should leave it) it was so fun watching AC20 round fly right into ravens head with all those waves.
