You're the one saying it works great and you used version 12.7

12.7 has this file?

atipdlxx.dll

Hah I'm not a fan boy.... I Go by Experience and facts! For AMD's GPU's Their drivers destroy their card's performance... I went from a Rare Sapphire HD6870 gen 2.1 to this card Gigabyte GeForce GTX 660 Ti OC'd Edition and there's no comparison the Nvidia card and drivers out performed the AMD's GPU and drivers in every way possible. Also The AMD FX CPU's are a major step backwards in performance... My Phenom II x4 965 Out performs the FX series for gaming.

ermm.. well of course. You're comparing it to a card of previous generation. 7870 would be a fairer comparison or even 7950 from a price standpoint.

Some of My other friends switched too from the 7800/7900 series, they too noticed a major improvement using the Nvidia card and drivers. Also AMD doesn't have CUDA Support and or PhysX.

Didn't help. I think, if you have 2 cores - you will suffer in all new games as PlanetSide 2 (huge frezes and lags, unplayable in fight), MWO (20-25 fps in piece, drops to 10-15, 6-15 in fight), even old Arma 2 and so on...=)

After a few more games, I have to say it really seems to have helped...FPS spikes are much more accpetable.

Voted No.

My Specs:

CPU: AMD PHENOM II x6 1050T
RAM 4GB
Graphics Card: 2x AMD Radeon HD 5750 @740MHZ and 1GB each
OS: Win7 x64

The described method lead to increased texture pop in and messed up meshes, while having no noticabe impact on framerate. Maybe that is due crossfire still not being properly supported (having it on or not has no impact whatsoever).

Yup that did it!

Athlon x2 5600
amd 5770

ati try tool - multihread support

set max to 2
min left at 0

playing at minimal setting and resolution :-) its still miserable fps vise, but no hicups and drastic fps drops ...so its playable now!

I have found the ultimate fix for the poor game performance. It works 100%!

The devs just have to roll back to the engine version they used in closed beta.
Maybe something to do after they add more usless gimmics and a 3rd person view
nobody wants?

Both those features are pretty pointless.

Obviously you have no idea about computer hardware and software. You should read up so then we can discuss this in a new thread!

This game would be amazing with physx. Tons of little vehicles and debris just flying away or rumbling as you walk by. Being tossed away by explosions and flying away by jump jets.

Apparently PGI is working with Nvidia for the PhysX! :P Which is why they don't have any proper Physics Implemented yet. Also Keep in mind though Getting PhysX to work properly is no easy task.

S!

PhysX in MWO or other titles has been a gimmick so far. If you really need some extra cluttering stuff flying around or a flag/rag flapping to be THE thing to have..uhoh. I can live without it. If nVidia uses it to add some "exclusive" crap it sounds like a marketing thing only. Been using both brands and can say both have offered what I need: FPS at 60 or more.
