Ok than padre. I only mentioned the Oveclocking and scalabiity and temps regarding AMD's fx and MWO didnt even state my temps.........LMAO, but somehow this has hit ur insecurites..............
**any fx processor or newer arch. should have the gusto to run this hog. optimization is key, and its getting there slowly but surely.**

Imagine a F1 championship race...........everyone uses 3month old fuel found sitting in a dumpster in Mexico............keep braggin about sick ur ride is.......... when really its loosing 500HP from the gas........... pointless is this arguement.

No insecurities just stating a simple fact the FX series is not up to par considering the Phenom 2 980 black 1100t black are out performing it. Your last statement made absolutely no sense you are the one losing HP due to the lack of in performance by bad designed CPU as it was also stated by the former CEO of AMD which is why they came out with the Pyle Driver so fast

Tell that to my FX6100.

Helps but barely. Still unplayable (specs in sig). Good job finding this "semi-fix" though, its obviously part of the problem so it should point the devs in the right direction. Hopefully they'll fix it faster.

Didnt help at all as far as i can tell. I play at 5-15 FPS with the occasional 20-30 if noone moving. Normal is about 7-10.

The odd thing is screen res and quality seem to have no affect at all on FPS. I pay now at 1920x1080 and high quality, but playing at lower res/quality results in virtually the same FPS.

System spec;
Windows 7 Home Prem
AMD Athlon II X2 235e 2.70 Ghz
6 GB RAM
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 460 768 MB Ram

Solved some of my problems and got the Fps up to 30 while up close with other mechs. Installed the GT 9300 card today and upped the power supply. This made all the difference between cannon fodder and getting some kills finely.

One thing that should be pointed out here too is for people to try overclocking their cpus. Get some knowledge on the subject and go tinkering with the fsb / HTT and multipliers in the BIOS but avoid messing with the voltages.

My machine's already as squeezed as it can be, but most people have a pretty good headroom (unless its a laptop, too risky given inherent heat problems) and it can be the difference between unplayable and playable. Like elgordo's cpu, I could probably up it to 3.5ghz, Athlon II were pretty easy to OC.

3dmark 11 CPU pysics scores will tell me more about my fx4100 @ 4.760ghz than u ever could................srry, but bias and misinformation isnt enough to keep me fighting a battle of wits with the likes of you.

Ps...... I literally almost doubled my CPU pysics score with a bump from 3.6 to 4.8ghz..........so mayb ur not doing it right????

Physics calculations is meaningless for the Overall Performance of the Processor; Because the Physics calculations are done in the lower level subsection(Math/Logistics sub-core) of the CPU. That is why the tests, test the physics separately.

Maybe you should read up about these things next time when your trying to prove a point.

I think you are loosing it pal.............. pysics can measure a certain amount of CPU processing power............ thats what I was after...............
I wanted a "baseline torque" number so i ran it on a digital program (digi-dynomometer---------->pysics test)...you still following me????? a measurement................ya a rating...........
So............pysics test is a method to measure 1 particular area of processing. lets just call it "torque".........
my improvements were noted on my "results" graph. I saw a real world performance increase..........what does it matter what subsection I test overall when i just want raw catagorized numbers?

You are just trying way too hard to split hairs here trollman...........have a nice day.

Specs:
Motherboard - Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3
CPU - AMD Athlon II X4 620 4800+
SSD - 128gb Crucial M4
Internal HDDs - 1TB WD Caviar Black, 3TB WD Caviar Green
External and HDDs - Thermaltake BlacX Duet Dual 2.5/3.5IN SATA Hard Drive Docking Station USB 2.0 eSATA, 500GB WD Caviar Green (Backup), 2TB WD Caviar Green
RAM - Corsair DDR2 6GB: 4 slots, 2x2GB, 2x1GB
GPU - Current: MSI Radeon HD 7850 Twin Frozr III 860MHZ 2GB 4.8GHZ GDDR5 (overclocked to 953mhz Core Clock 1348mhz Memory Clock using MSI Afterburner)

What I have tried:
-reinstalling the game
-removing the cache
-installing Radeon Pro and setting flip queue size to 0
-using low and medium settings
-updating to latest graphics beta driver
-running the game in windowed and full screen mode
-stopping Realtek HD audio manager (was told this was an issue for ASUS motherboards)
-using MSI Afterburner to force overclock settings on 2D and 3D applications

What I have not tried:
-the OP's fix, I tried installing ATI tray tools and got the following error "Can not initialize ATIPDLXX library!", I tried installing the 12.1 graphics driver but that did not fix the issue
-whatever can be done with ambient occlusion, I could not find the setting anywhere

Questions
-Is it simply a systems specs issue? If so why has my FPS declined significantly with the last two patches?
-would running a video on my other monitor significantly impact the game?

Worth noting I live in Canada and my ping is typically below 30ms and never higher than 130ms.

I had that problem too.
for some reason, the .dll wasn't included with the ATT installer.
You have to download the .dll separately from some where else and put it in the ATT folder.
http://forums.guru3d...ad.php?t=360195

Assuming you are using Windows 7.
The next likely error to show up is the Windows UAC(User Account Control) permission.
See this page on how to create a scheduled task to solve this issue.

I followed that thread copying necessary file from the same driver pack the poster used and placed it in the ATT folder, the system32 folder and the SysWow64 folders and I get the same error the user mentioned.

edit: I found this thread and figured out you need two: http://forums.guru3d...ad.php?t=367526
edit2: tested using the ATT advanced tweak and my FPS has improved, I'm not sure if it is back to what it was a couple patches ago but during fights I could maintain 20 for the most part.

Just a confirmation that this 'Fix' doesn't do jack ****. I ask myself why even bothered making a thread with such a 'fix.
Its not like the game is forced to use more then 1 core... lol

Unaffected.

But guys, there is a new thread around !! "Fix for bad performance solution"

Go to your nvidia control panel and set your power management mode from adaptive to performance!!

And um, go to your task manager, right click on mwo.exe and set the cpu affinity to ALL cores, it will force the game to use all cores!!!

haha what a joke.
No disrespect but only relative newbies and desperate people try stuff like this. Game is simply not optimized, far from it, and there is nothing we can do except perhaps de-assemble the game? ;)

Oh and wait, thats what you can do  This game doesnt even run smoothly on my i7 3770K @ 4.5GHz with 670GTX OC'ed

You have a major Bottle-neck with your system, it is your CPU and your DDR2 Ram. With that CPU and Ram your Motherboard is using Backwards compatibility mode, Which Means it's using a Front-Side-Bus to run it. that's why your system is going slow for gaming.

You should upgrade it as soon as possible to a Phenom II(I recommend a AMD Phenom II x4 965 BE) with DDR3 Ram, before they become completely unavailable.

Happy Hunting.

P.S. Once you do that this Fix will work for your system as it requires HyperTransport to work.

I can't speak for Eternal, but I'm pretty confident he's not trolling... he's the OP, after all.

But listen. Your testing aside, I've got a Phenom II 965 on the way. I'll FRAPS a play session with my FX6100, overclocked to 3.8 GHz, switch the chips out, FRAPS a session with the Phenom (without overclocking, 3.4GHz), and you'll see that what these folks are saying is true. Same system, different chips, the one a generation behind will outperform its more modern brother (that's what I anticipate, at any rate).

I know, it sucks, I also have a year-old CPU that's not able to handle this game. But it's not worth getting all angry over... certainly, not at Eternal. It's not his fault that AMD dropped the ball on the FX series.

Are you a moron or just uneducated 3DMark 11 is 80% GPU based I use the full version of 3dMark that has even more features what was your scores GRAPHICS SCORE PHYSICS SCORE COMBINED SCORE these are all GPU based with some CPU processing Physics Processing is mainly done by GPU Nvidia has onboard PhysX CPU AMD is software related processing. So when you actually know whats going on come back because you're the one thats misinformed.

Now understand this is not a Phenom 2 980 black My entire argument is that the 980 and 1100t are out performing the fx series. All the benchmarks and test compared the FX 6100/6200 to the 980/1100t black CPU's. The 965 Black is not the the top end its a med range I was only recommended it to the guys with the dual core cpu's that were on a budget or didnt have a AM3/AM+ board.

If you Setup the Phenom II x4 965(Deneb) BE @3.4ghz as I have it becomes High-end, as it has hidden power when you get it; you just need to know how to get this power unlocked. Once it's setup right it keeps up with the i5's and i7's. :P
