I've been under the impression that I have not seen the FPS bug. I've attributed most skipping / warping of mechs to lag. The other day I came across something I didn't really know what to make of.

I was in a hunch (the version with 2 missile bays on each side of the head...quickly becoming my new favorite chassis). I was going after a Jenner. The Jenner was fairly beat up, but at one point, I shot him with some SRM's and it almost appeared the once he got to a certain damage level he started to lag and would just warp to wherever he was running.

What could it have been?

Jenners running at the maximum speed threshhold typically warp/stutter/jitter, especially if they collide with objects.

This was on the forest map, the normal version. I was chasing him around near that little stream and a hill there, the only thing around would've been trees, he was even warping in the open.

I've seen mechs and jenners warp, but not like this.

Sometimes I see warping. Sometimes I see someone warping like a mother****er. It happens.

This is just lag. Hit box of a light mech is ahead of him. Just aim further in a direction he moving. If he is teleporting back and forth, this is a extreme lag, probably caused by your side.

definitely not me, the entire match was fine up to that one point, no other game has lagged like that ever.

So, didn't you happen to shoot jenner's leg off?
Because legged lights, moving at their full speed are warping. AFAIK it is a confirmed bug.

You have to count in on top of the physical representation on your screen of the Jenner skipping around that the hitbox for said Jenner is also no where near where you see the digital construct on your screen.

Just nerf down all Meks to under 140kph until they can fix the net code and hit detection and this would solve some of the issue in the interim.

You are experience bad net code / lag resulting in mechs you are shooting at not reflecting where they actually are.

yeah, with the way that thing was warping, i would've needed luke and the force to hit it...with the way the warping was, i had no clue where to him.

I came across a jenner pilot on caustic valley probably using a lag switch once. Dueled him with no lag whatsoever for a couple minutes. Moment I legged him he started lagging. He zig-zag warp lagged (with one leg) halfway up the crater while I watched in amusement. Then I killed him.

Edit: Apparently this is a possible bug. I remain skeptical knowing some of the kinds of people who pilot jenners right now.

BS. I've seen it behind the mech.
You can't tell where it is. It all depends on packets.

I saw this this happen with a splatcat. Wasn't moving faster than 60kph but it was warping like a ************ so none of us could kill it as it tore us appart. All the other mechs in the game were fine. I didn't check to see if he had a high ping.
