Just wondering if it is just my 250 ping, but for me Mechs with around and above 80kmph start to teleport on my screen due to their speed.

If they were moving in a straight line it would like them moving, then suddenly flashing to a point further along the line.

Is it something to do with movement predcition/desych?

In some of the training videos i've notice this too, so maybe its not to do with my ping.

Can this be fixed?

Happens to me too but I only noticed it after the last patch. Waiting for Tuesday to see if it gets better.

The netcode makes any mech going over ~84 do some funny stuff like teleporting or not register damage right. And yeah a high ping from you or the other mech will increase that affect by a lot. Its usually called a lagshield and is really annoying.
I usually get a ping of ~45 so I don't see much teleporting but it does happen and happens a lot more against people with high pings. Nothing more annoying than trying to fight a light in a light when the other guy has a 300+ ping. Earlier today I saw a guy in a Cicada run around my whole team for about 2 or 3 minutes without taking much damage while he would teleport 10-15 meters at a time.

Lostech

Was in one game fighting a 4 man premade with 3 ecm ravens in a pack. They were all ghosting and the netcode was in their favour.

I also get it a lot with players with ping's around the 30 mark, in fact they can be the worse offenders when it comes to ghosting. Bizarre

The game should check your ping before you can launch with a light mech.if it's greater than ~150ms it should give you an invalid mech error! no light mech piloting for you Mr.lagsalot! B)

I'm kidding of course :)

But yea,it's pretty terrible.

Why be kidding? I wouldn't mind that at all. Though there is some obvious problems (like high ping players not liking it). But they really need to just fix the netcode and get some servers spread out. Some regional servers so everybody in game had sub 150 ping would be great.

I also have 250+ ping (playing in Aust) and see telporting ravens more than anything else. It occasionally happens to dragons, commandos and jenners but I see ravens jupming the most. It's either lag, netcode or both.

I can deal with one or the other, but not both.

This is -one- user who, it seems, has a legitimate netcode / "lagshield" issue. It shows when 'Mechs are teleporting, which means that their positional data was out of synch between client and server, causing all shots in-between the synchs have a high chance of missing the target.

If you do not see them warping, then there also is no "lagshield".

At least now days we have DSL, Cable, and faster speeds. Try hitting mechs on crappier game code with 56k in past MW games. Fun times!

omg its called lag shield!!! jk

ping isnt the problem, the rest of the game is smooth but those certain players that go over 80kmh start skipping.
