I don't really use all of my founders mechs anymore and they are just kind eating hanger space that I would like to use to level variants. Is there any plans in the future to make something like this available? If not sell then what would be another good idea to free up hanger space other than selling my variants?

Its not really eating hangar space since it got its own bay. But I see no reason to not allow ppl to sell them.

I just occasionally spend $7 and add 4 more bays to keep ahead of my leveling. Really I figure 7 ever month or two is a pretty fair cost investment in the game until they add something else worth buying.

they are not using hangar space, at least not from my point of view:
Everyone starts with 4 empty bays.
You got 4 additional Mechs, that do not use any of those 4 starter bays, but have their own (additional) 4 bays - so you still started with 4 empty bays, just like anyone else.
But you also got a bunch of MC. You can of course always buy additional mechbays with those.

Four additional? I have eight bays like everyone one else. The founders mechs eat half of them and I only have four more to work on variants. I just want the option to be able to remove the founders mechs. I realize the bonus in using them but the simple fact is I dont use them at all. A real waste I know but I am just not a fan and for those asking "why did you get them in the first place?" I got kind trigger happy when the game came out.

I'd personally hold on to them. Should this game get moving again there is a good chance that at some point in the future your mechs hard points might be the best thing available. As weapons get tweaked and adjusted, or you just want a change of pace. Since they are irreplaceable, hold on to them.

sorry man, you got something wrong. Everyone else has 4, not 8.
I have onle one Founder mech, so i had a total of 5 to beginn with
