1) No name/shame threads.
2) No anti-cheats in this game (yet).
3) There are people who cheat, but are rare.
4) Most of the time it's a lucky head shot and now that HSR is in the game for ballistics, it'll be even more common. XL Engines can also get cored by some alpha builds if there's not enough armor i.e. 6 PPC Stalker.

If someone consistently does it in a match, then turn it in to MWO's support with name, time/date and any info you can provide.

I've taken out heavy mechs with just one 50 point alpha to the rear center torso. Of course you have your headshots and random ammo explosions too.

30 damage versus 33 total armor and life. No, you can't die from twin gauss to the face.

Catapults are super easy to headshot. It's especially easy when you have the high ground like when cresting the ridge on Frozen City. It is pretty shocking, even when you're on the giving end. And then there is the Atlas. I was squared off with an Atlas one time in River City, and we both shut down from overheating. I started up first and aimed right for his right eye. It worked.

I just killed a comando with ppcs from 300 meter with a headshot. an i am not cheating. sometimes these lucky shots happenz.
