Whats really surprising, and disappointing, here is that the OP's glitch and the other issues reported in this thread continue to happen. These bugs have been in the game for months and months and are not fixed.

I would hope so. Because if the shoulder boxes count as the side torsos the Mad Cat will be the worst mech in the game.

As it is, as long as this forces you to split your armor to the new shoulder pods (so the max armor remains the same as another 75-ton mech, for example), then it would be balanced IMO. They might even handle the shoulder box like rear armor is (add shoulder armor, and it reduces what you can put to the forward/rear side torso).
If this is genuine, it does show that they ARE working on clan assets (that has GOT to be for the Mad Cat, after all).
