Yup, I liked that as well. Makes sense too, with blue wavelengths of light being more energy-rich.


And the Mechlab... Great stuff. As complex as needed, but still well-arranged. Shouldn't scare off new players, which is a plus.

OH YEAH! Have mech will customize! :) TT battletech skills back in action. This is going to be fun.

Paul, Can we please have closed beta start this month. You said in the mechlab video, open beta this summer. Summer's just over a month away. At least give us a month to knock the bugs out of the game before open beta, PLEASE?

I don't know about you but there was this blue "Launch" button in the top right corner of the mechLab pic and I really felt that urge to hit it... damn deceiving hires pics, fool me every time. Hurr Durr

IGN article was awesome, and the Vid too. In one place I actually Nearly missed seeing a mech because of Camo! I can't remember the last time I was in a game where camo actually obscured the enemy.

I am loving the mechlab look for now. I can't wait to see what we can do with this game. It looks awesome, am looking forward to this game now.

So I think it was missed in the main video preview thread.

At Launch will the custom mechs visually change from the stock look? The MechLab video Hunchback does not change in appearance. As Paul removes the AC/20 no change, adds AC5, no change, adds small lasers, no change. I hope this is just due to early beta and it not being finalized.

Mechlab looks pretty dope. Have a feeling you'll be buying bays like WoT, which Im fine with. I just hope it has more depth than WoT.

Agreed, the barrel part in the RT should have had a smaller diameter when the AC/5 was put in.
