It's a bit silly but I can't help it sometimes to lean in the direction I am trying to turn or maneuver my mech ...

Anyone else do this?

I used to do that with certain racing games. I would lean to the direction I was steering. I don't do it with mwo though.

I haven't leaned or attempted to jump with video game movement since the release of the NES, playing Super Mario Bros. =P

Only when running light mechs at 120kph and I'm cutting it close to buildings.

When things get intense, I start leaning. A lot...

Not only do I lean when turning, but when I'm on a ridge and trying to shoot a mech below me, I lean forward as if my perspective would change and enable me to see below and closer to my mech.

Every. Time.

This used to be something I would do in a Commando. I believe it is called an Interactive Experience.

When collisions were in it was a thrill every second weaving in and around heavier mechs, knowing any contact was death.

It's a weird thing, but yeah. Try and peek around that corner, turn faster, lean closer when zooming and sniping.. Game is messing with my head!

I only lean when using a joystick, and then mostly with space-sims - you know, when you are about to crash into that capital ship.. Don't use a joystick with MWO.

When I used to use a joystick, I my elbows would be on the floor.

Now that mouse-play is god and joysticks are gimp, no more lean :)

Used to do it as a kid. There was a game called Heavenly Blade on PS3, that actally used the 6 axis controller in certain parts of the game. I was on my 2nd deployment playing it and had a bunch of guys make fun of me for twisting the joystick every which way "like it would help"... - one time I got to call someone "special" while doing that lol

No I don't.

But do I flinch when a light mech I'm in is getting hit by curtains of LRMs? You bet.

All the time. Nearly every time my wife walks into the room she comments on it "Does the leaning help?" Or "You're leaning again".

It's really obvious when I am being hit by LRM - I hunch down and shake my head around sigh.

its common knowledge leaning only helps you on racing games in curves and when shooting 3 pointers
