But he failed that! I saw a bunch of missiles crash into a rock!
The skill I saw was however in movement with jump jets. That looked pretty good. I suck at using JJs.

I do not own a cat, but when I end up close range to one I think, I AM STUPID!!!
I just keep as a high priority for me to stay away of those things!!
Its same thing in BT table top! If your light mech try to pass at 3 hex of an assault with 4 LBX 10 and tracking computer.. its his fault for doing so!!!
What can be done? If people want to fight in the best possible scenario for enemy they WILL DIE!

All the time through out the closed beta up until now you could do this with the A1. No one cared until recently. Weird.

And what happens when the entire enemy team is composed of streak cats? Which is the way the game is rapidly headed. What will you do then? Good luck staying out of their effective range on these small maps when there's four of them chasing you at 80 km/h.

Because they hide behind hills so you don't know they are there till they are within 270m.
Because they are damm fast (80+ KPH) so you can't stay out of 270m
Because people fit brawler mechs with few weapons capable of 270+m firing.
Because basically by not coming within 270m of them, 4 streak cats could pretty much block off any map by staying under cover.
SSRMs are currently very far ahead of any other short ranged weapon in both effectiveness and ease of use compared to any other short-range weapon. Compared to other SRMs, they are so far ahead they are silly!

ahhh...yes? Guess what they pilot
Ok...here is the evidence:
You have 3 atlases and 1 streakcat coming on your position - what is target number 1? What is the first target EVERYONE will call, no matter how many mechs of whatever class are around? Exactly...what else do you need to finally get that something is wrong?
You got 300 tons of atlases...and 65 tons of a Catapult...that was allways ment as a support mech.
I mean...helohoooooo? Someone there?
And yes...if after tonights patch no change in what so ever direction is taken...guess what I will put on my cat. Why complain? Join them!

not saying that there are no situations where the streak cat can force you into its range. But its impressive how many jenners and cicadas run STRAIGHT into streak range! That its their OWN FAULT!
In that video, quite a few were stupid enemies that deserved that death!
I myself never use any mech that cannot reach 80 km/h unless its an atlas, and then I am sure to carry msot long range guns and never move close to the fighting.

that would be same target callign even if it was a standard K2. HEavies are ALWAYS prioratary over assaults! ALWAYS. They carry almost same firepower but die faster..

What do we do when they nerf ssrms and then we have to deal with the next "flavor of the month" mech?

Yes, there are ways of dealing with Streakcats if you know what you're doing. Unfortunately these people are roflstomping new players who even when they get their first owned mech are unlikely to up the engine rating, so unless they bought a Light they're probably running around at 64-ish kph as opposed to the Streakcats 80+. Stay out of range you say?
As an aside, me and three corpmates once ran a group where two of us had two Streaks on our 4SP's and two had C4's with four Streaks apiece. After four matches in that configuration we never touched it again cause we felt dirty, and that was pre-fix.
