Hi guys!
Having the same problem as above.

Looking forward to playing MechWarrior with you all! I'm formerly a member/command member of the Wolf's Dragoons from, arguably, the first BattleTech MMO that was ever played, back in the early to late 1990s called 'BTech 3056 MUSE'. The Wolf's Dragoons was a challenging unit to get in to but was one I wanted to join from day one. We held Trials of Position as the initiation trial to become commissioned in to the WDs, which pitted a Timberwolf (the initiate) against an Archer, Thunderbolt, and ...and... argh! Now it's been so long I can't remember the third one! All -WD variants though for the period. The number of kills for the initiate indicated the potential rank outcome of the initiate afterwards. I was lucky and got three kills! I think pounding back chocolate bars and Jolt cola (perhap the first energy drink) really gave me an edge though! Posted Image I eventually became a Major in the WDs, and played the title CO characters of Alpha Regiments Kelly_Yukinov, as well Gamma Regiments Irwin_Tyrell.

An avid fan of the BattleTech table-top game universe, and in particular the Wolf's Dragoons, I look forward to joining this prestigeous unit and fighting alongside such professionals again.

Cheers!

Unfortunately, I have no idea how to help you here. Perhaps try it with your firewall down, but I doubt that's the problem.

Did you two sign up/register for the webpage first? We're trying to streamline it now.

okay I tried posting this once before and it didn't take. I'm new to the forums but I've been playing battletech and mechwarrior for about 23 years now. I have a large collection of memorabilia everything from novels to comic books from Mechwarrior dark ages figurines to painted ral-partha minitures for classic battletech. I have read about 90 percent of the fiction for the battletech universe and have a very large knowledge base. I perfer to pilot assult class mechs (overkill is not a word in my vocabulary) however I am rather handy in a scout mech also. I like being in a frontline leadership position , a lance or star commander. I do not like being in an administrative position. I am a military veteran of the ohio army national guard and I am veteran of Wolfs Dragoons from the mech warrior 3/4 era. I also have a steam account and a world of tanks account my username is Infan3man. I look forward to playing with you guys and can't wait until the beta release of Mechwarrior online.

Evidently I CANNOT stress this enough. If you want to join us, you HAVE to sign up on our website and then post an introduction in the General Discussion area. Otherwise, you will not be considered a member because we wont know who you are! heheheh.
It's also advised you add me on Steam (If you have Steam) at: omega59er
Then be sure to tell me who you are.
Thank you.

10 to 1 odds that you'll be disappointed when the Devs reserve all Wolf's Dragoons units.

10 to 1 odds that you'll punch yourself in the groin later today during your "me" time. Devs have already drawn the line in the sand, and every dragoons alliance company knows where it is and what we're going to be able to name ourselves. Thanks for your useless opinion. I say good day.

So how's The Most Kick-***, Mech-stomping Alpha Regiment that the Dragoon's alliance has doing today?

I've been playing Mechwarrior since MW2 and was a member of the Wolf's Dragoons in MW2:Mercs back in the days of using Kali.net for online gaming on my 14.4k modem. I would love to get back in with my old unit. I remember running exercises with the group using specific builds to help learn how to use the different weapon types effectively. That brings back memories.

I ran with WD back in the day on Kali in the MW2 days, went by Redline then 14.4 good times. Ran with Biohazard, a Brit if I recall. Ironcross and others. would be awesome to catch up if any of you guys are around.

Third mech in the ToP was a Warhammer, I think :P Ran those so many times ... and just started re-reading Wolf Pack today for the first time in 10 years. Remember "Hesitation is Death" on the top of the sim room? :)

Anyways, nice to see a name from way back! I also played 3056 ... as Irwin Tyrell (a/k/a Win), then Maeve for a bit when Dr Bob moved up. Then 3025 as faction leader for steiner, 3058 for CGB I think it was - so long ago.

Then did MPBT 3025 as the XO for WD (We played under the DCMS for the timeline.) After 3025 died, (that Jamie) Wolf took the group to DAoC and then Shadowbane, and after I lost track of everyone.

I noticed some folks from MPBT Wolf's Dragoons in the DCMS, a few here. Wonder where there might be some others hiding?

Wonder if Polaris and Zero might be lurking about ...

I may sign up with House Marik's military, but I'm looking to see if I could find an attractive Merc Corp to sign on with instead. This looked interesting. I'm not really sure what I'm looking for in a Merc Corp, but I guess I have one question, is there any advantages to joining up with AR? I mean, tell me why I should apply to join AR and not enlist with House Marik?

About Me, I guess: I have played every MechWarrior game, plus MechCommander 1. I'm not the greatest pilot ever, but I'm pretty good and can certainly rack up some kills. I can play support or dogfight combat, and I usually use a MadCat.

Well, with AR or any of the WD's you will be able to fight for any house as long as the money is right. Also, we are very organized and believe in being as close to the real (Battletech) unit as possible in organization and fighting styles. We are also part of the WD's Alliance so other WD's units will fight right beside ours as if we are 1 big unit. Just check out our site and see if it fits what you want, if not then I still wish you the best. www.wolfsalpha.com

There's the obvious factor that Merc companies are exclusive unless they zerg recruit, so that translates to fewer dumb***** that you have to play with. This is even more consistent in a Dragoon's outfit. Playing for a house, you'll have no choice in who you fight alongside. Then you've got what Theron said about the Dragoon's alliance fighting together. Dragoon units also tend to train their members, so teamwork is far more likely to show through.
