I wouldn't mind paying prices like these if I got to keep the colors/patterns, but to pay it every time is utterly rediculous.

In response to someone who brought up PS2, the single use camos there are only $0.50.

Also, the selection of colors for cbills is terrible.

A majority of them are one time use. Also I wouldnt fret to much they did say there will be freebies to. Unlike PS2 we do get some free colors.

I thought you had the 50 SC one timers and the 500 multi use ones... haven't tried them yet. It just seems to me that we should be able to at least unlock a color with MC for CB application.

I just sort of wish we actually had basic colors in the basic color section. The ones they picked seem to scream out "buy more to make anything look good!" as they don't mix really well.

Dazzle pattern is fun though. Has a sort of retro Battletech feel to me.

Ahh, to live the life of the mech detailer. No harsh battles, no being shipped around from one inhospitable environment to another. You just stay home, paint a mech, then send their owner a bill for more than it cost them to build a bay to house it.

I get it for the camo, I wish it was slightly cheaper but I get it.

But for the flag? 250 mc?

thats steep.

if it was 50 mc I'd probably buy one for every mech. at 250 mc I probably wont even get one.

Maybe ill change my mind later but thats awfully pricey.

All the PC Gamer colors are free, if you have that skin, you can tinker with that and default camos and change some colours for nothing... red black and grey (these are actually different to the originals that came with the skin) No MC or C-bills to pay..

I understand that, but these price's are just abit much.

Its 3$ for 3 colours.

A 1$ for 1 colour.

If thats expensive for you then I'm curious as to how you can afford your monthly internet bills.

250 MC = around a dollar.

How in the world is that steep?

I think one time uses go up to 250 for the camo or your stuck to one vehicle. Ill have to double check. 500s are permanant. Its just the color that you have to repay right? Not Camo skins? Paying more than once for a camo skin per mech is kinda trash espically when we learn what maps well be droppin in.

I was thinking infantry camo, sorry. I haven't checked the vehicle ones yet but I do want to. Some of the painted vehicles look nice.

Pretty sure the camo patterns you unlock and are free after that to apply, I could throw on the PC Gamer one for free. At these prices though I don't think we'll be changing our colors for ever map unless they come up with temporary paint. Fraction of the price for a couple matches maybe? Not that it would have a huge impact on the match anyway.

My only issue is that if we can form and play units it seems that having dedicated unit colors might be sort of questionable if people have to pay for some of the colors. I guess PS2 is the same way though with having to buy the camo patterns so maybe it's not a huge deal, less so once they get more CB colors in. Right now there isn't much point to organized units yet anyway (which is bad!) so right now I'm not worried.

A paint job should not cost more than a medium laser. I mean seriously, its paint. Unless it make you invulnerable to radar, reduces the heat signature, or makes your mech invulnerable to AC fire.... ;)
Regardless of cost in real currency, the cbill cost is way outlandish. Paying real money for a mech or upgraded mech bay I can see. Paying for a cockpit trinket, ok I'll bite. Paying for a paint job, nah I'm good.

I don't mind the one time cost of cockpit items. I don't really plan on getting more than one and keeping it in my favorite mechs. I only have a handful of those from each weight class. I've sold my unwanted variants after getting Master Skill.

Something I found amusing is their concept of basic colors. If you look at the color wheel the basic colors are red, blue, yellow and then green, purple and orange. Black is the mixing of all these colors and white is the absence of any color. Grey is what you get for mixing black and white. This would make the basic colors red, blue, yellow, green, purple, orange, white, black and grey. While red, blue, green, purple and orange cost c-bills. The basic black, white, grey and yellow cost MC. For some reason IGP and Piranha decided that black, white, yellow, and grey are no longer basic colors but different shades of other colors.

So does PGI pay you to shill yet, or are you just building up that resume for your application?

That $3 could be spent on something tangible too, like real goods and or merchandise. At least a reach around if I'm getting it from behind, but then that would be too great a value and I'm a poor peasant for expecting it right?

Way too expensive for one off use. I could see if the color was yours once you got it but... to have to pay those kind of MC prices every time you paint a mech? Just seems flat greedy. I just hope the general player base doesnt go along with it. Maybe they will see the light on this if we don't pay the bloated prices.

Kinda sad too. I said Id be happy to spend my money on cosmetics for the game and that it was likely all I would spend money on. But at these prices? I regret getting Elite founders. I've got nothing I'm willing to spend my MC on. Well maybe the banners and bobbbleheads once some I really want get in... But the way things are now Im sort of wary of spending any of my MC.

I agree with the OP, this stuff is nice but the cost needs to come down, I wouldn't spend on this if it weren't for founders.
