Yeah - some reverb, some distortion and she´d be good to go. And a **** hotkey.

Yeah. A "SHUT UP" button would be awesome, just for the fun factor. Could tie it into the override.

Last time I checked I was playing mechwarrior...

That voice is Carrol Ruggier, the original voice actor.

Considering you are not actually hearing her with your ears, that her voice is coming directly into your brain....

FYI, a neurohelmet is not a two-way communications method.
They are devices that "read" electrical signals from the brain regarding balance that translate into feedback for the gyroscope.
This help balance a mech.

Apparently in addition to bringing back Betty from MW2 they also should have brought back the audio engineer/voice director from MW2... I think a voice actress can only be as good as the post-production and direction.

Sadly, this latest incarnation is just not as iconic as the orig (and also notices the post-production/effects used in the orig):

She sounds good!

But a more "coming from a speaker" like sound would be just nice and nostalgic :)

Good thing you read the patch notes before complaining about them.

Would much rather prefer them to just add the MW2 Mercs voice files if at all possible

EDIT: Clientside modding/replacing of said audio files would be fantastic

THIS.
MW2:Mercs voice just sounded amazing. Reactor [pause] online. Sensors [pause] online.Weapons [pause] Online. All systems Nominal.

Here is a great example of her sound.

I heard a previous ******** betty's voice, and this one is just some lame old woman

I don't know what you think you heard before, but the one you're hearing now is Carol Ruggier, the same woman who made the MW voice.

She's wonderful; you can take your eyes off some HUD elements and actually focus on the fighting, thanks to her.
Your perfomance should improve once you get used to it.

I LOVE her voice. She sounds awesome. I was so happy when my mech started babbling at me after the patch.

As funny as it sounds, I don't like the 'Online' being the same tone.

It needs variation with each repetition, slight and subtle, not sweeping or overly noticeable,

It also needs to be mired in some freaking AMBIENT AUDIO!!!! *cracks the whip at the PGI audio engineers*
