Ok, we've seen a request for every obscure weapon except possibly a sling shot. If When ever melee is implemented it would be a nice option to be able to pick up a tree or water tower to whack stuff with if your hatchet gets destroyed and ammo dependant weapons are all expended. If not melee, then throwing boulders for hunchies when out of AC/20 ammo. It would definately make defending a sewage plant more fun if....

I would absolutely love to be able to beat my enemies to death with the nearest Urbanmech.

I would love to be able to pick up a random tree and start clobbering Paul's Hunchback on the head with it. ;)

I would love to be able to smash the hell out of a cockpit using a boulder. it gives a mech with hands a reason to exist ;)

Well yes, most MechWarrior games have had some sort of collision detection which allowed you to do some (minor) damage to another 'Mech by ramming them. In BattleTech lore, melee combat with 'Mechs is not uncommon - especially in urban centers. And I mean really, a huge 'Mech wielding a giant axe? Yes please!

I'd settle for being able to hit the mechs with a giant metal fist at this point.

One of, if not the ONLY mech from the IS that I can actually love! I would LOVE to have an axman even if that ax is nothing more than visual until melee is turned on!

ORLY? How many critical slots did it take on David? How many tons of ammo did he carry?

Hmmm... The thought of tearing off my opponents arm and beating them to death with it sounds like fun, but probably a bit too complicated for the DEVs to incorporate into the game.

Lets just stick with blowing the be-jeebers out of each other instead.

just a punch would be nice. One punch. Or to be able to closeline a passing light mech. That would be sweet!

I think would be be kinda fun on some maps that had tunnels or bridges to blow up when enemy mechs crossed them, maybe have some ridges you can shoot up to make land slides stuff like that would be fun to have.

next evolution of melee will be the curbstomp on downed mechs, although using the scenery to damage/drop a mech would be cool. like maybe demolishing a building with a scout on the roof/in the path of debris being swept over.

The reason I posted this was because Guild Wars 2 has tons of environmental weapons and the rogue/theif class have a several skills that make extensive use of them. So, at this point it is not asking for something completely new to gaming.

I think using the environment against your opponents is a good idea, see a mech under a ledge but has too small a clearing to hit HIM? Bring the ledge down with LL fire or PPCs or ACs or Gauss or missiles XD
