does anyone know how or if dropships will be used?? will you get your own, and what will the payments be like? pretty steep i bet. err yea. it would be pretty cool, if you could get new ship or upgrade the one you got, assuming you get one at all.

Nothing official has been announced regarding player-owned dropships. Russ has said though that one of the game modes will feature a drop ship animation where your mech is deployed at low altitude into battle.

They have created concept art for a leopard drop ship so it may be added as a player feature to the game in the future.

i heard about that game mode some where, maybe in a video? i dont want to fly it or anything like that, but i figure, you gotta have some place to stash your mechs. if that place so happened to be a dropship, you could have possible upgrades, like mech bays, or armory options. maybe even a custom interior.

Dropship mode. Basically a respawn mode where you take a certain number of mechs to the battle and when one goes boom, you jump in with another one, till you destroy all of them.

My Hell Jumpers stand ready to deploy from the dropships, at my CO's command, and as our saying goes, "No one said nigh, for ours is to do and die. Feet first into hell, that is our motto, our creed, and god help those who stand before us, when we perform the deed. Let the call rage, "TO THE SKY, TO THE SKY, LIVE TO FIGHT, DO OR DIE", as we are the wardens, the Guardians of Civilization, and we stand as one, a Guardian, a Shield, against the oppressors that bring Tyranny, and chaos."

OOC: I don't think there will be any player controlled dropships, in game.

Player controlled no, but I think it would be cool for a game mode where you need to get back to your dropship for an extraction of something. Even the little Leopards can lay down some massive covering fire.

Well, I have not played 40k (let the flaming begin), and don't know whether or not to start, or where. I came up with that on my own. Will admit I kinda got some inspiration from my Mando'ad vode out there. Koy'acyi ner vode.

as they have said the game is from the POV of a mechwarrior from inside the mech and that we WONT leave the mechs, save for the mechlab screen, custom interiors are moot as we wont see them :D
