In Mechwarrior 3, I remember that if I blew off an arm of an enemy mech, I was able to target the joint where the member used to be attached for a quick kill (if I could manage to put a shot right into the socket where the arm used to be).

I was wondering if such a thing currently existed or might be incorporated into the system for MW-Online in future, where the exposed damaged and unarmored joint on the left or right torso becomes a weak point in the armor after the limb is blown off (for realism's sake). If not that is fine. I do realize that I am dabbling in minutia pretty late in the game.

Thanks for listening,
Maelstrom

Blowing holes in compartments would be cool, but shooting into a shoulder joint would damage the side dorso instead of the center torso methinks. They might be including a damage-transfer feature where shooting into a destroyed compartment might transfer damage to other nearby body compartments, but as many have said... we will have to wait and see.

I'd love the opportunity to take advantage of shooting into someone's open shoulder cavity to rot their torso, even if it's a year or so from now.

I remember being able to do that too and it would be great if we could shoot into joints, etc to take advantage of the weakened area for a quicker kill.

Definitely something that would be worth waiting for.
