I put a lot of these for completion but to me the shortlist is probably 3 or 4 mechs.

What do you think is the crappiest mech currently, as in when you see one of them on your team you are :P and what do you think could be done to make it better?

I'm going with Raven and I suggest to make it the only ECM carrier so it has a real role instead of being slower, lighter armed Jenner.

Didn't even want to pick one, they're all viable.

I pilot a commando, hunchback and awesome. And I'm incredibly effective with all chassis own.

I always found a good pilot who has mastered his own mech is far more dangerous then a random pubbie who just picked jenner because jenners.

They all have their uses, however the Raven is currently the only slow light mech.
Without ECM, and with ECM being able to fit on the Jenner once it's out, and with how crappy the NARC and MG are, the Raven is a bit of a gimped chassis.

This is a tough one.
Because of partial lagshield, the terrible commando has some staying power. It helps that it gets the triple energy arm variant, but he's a joke compared to any given jenner.

Cents are so bad, I use them like Dan Hibiki. It seems I'm not the only one who does this.

Dragons don't really do anything, but their 'unique totally awesome omg power' isn't BLOCKING WITH THEIR ARMS, either. I totally need a little shield arm to soak damage on my arm, you guys. Not like my atlas can spin and do the same.

My vote goes to the cent.

Well duh. I've seen people run around in 3LL Ravens and get 500+ damage but that doesn't mean it's actually a decent/viable mech that a sane person would run against a serious opponent. You aren't going to have 'random pubbies' in your 8v8, and at the rate we're going you aren't gonna see Ravens either.

The fact is some mechs are just all around worse than their counterparts at everything. They had a chance to fix this problem, and instead they are going to make the rich richer.

I will say that Jenner domination is not permanent (get ready for 8 Atlas groups on Dec.4) and they are probably looking to the future, by giving all the lights ECM they want to define their role as scouts etc. That's the only rationale I can see for it, but the Jenner always did fine even when collisions were in and the netcode wasn't totally busted.

Where's the all trial mechs option?

Even then, when it's driven by a good pilot it's a decent mech. So I guess the crappiest mech is the suicidal one.

I disagree with making the Raven the only mech that can carry ECM. At least one mech of every weight class should have access to it. Eventually more.

Ready and looking forward to 8 atlas groups. Should be an interesting load-out to fight against. I'd like to see how the use of range, speed, etc has on defeating a team with such obviously superior firepower and defense.

Tough call between the Raven and the Dragon. But I'd rather pilot a Raven than a weaksauce Dragon any day.

Atlas's are slow, Its there greatest weakness. Just get faster mechs and your solid. All the firepower in the world can't help you if you can't hit your target.

I for one find the Dragon to be pretty strong. It has relatively small side torsos, so it can pack a large XL engine without worrying too much about side torso deaths. I load mine with high dps weapons like medium pulse lasers and an UAC5. I also shifted a good amount of back armor to the front. Use speed and cover in place of armor, and you'll live a lot longer. That said, you still have plenty of armor to step out in front of someone and brawl at point blank. Properly upgraded, it can be fast and absolutely deadly to medium and heavy 'mechs.

The Raven isn't weak if you load it out right. Although, I would like to see MGs and Narc be more useful. It's size and shape give it some advantages over the Jenner at some angles and some disadvantages at others. Whatever the case, it at least needs and engine upgrade to fill the same role as other light 'mechs.

If you are talking about a Raven 2X and 4X I can see how you could say the Raven is worse than a Commando, but the 3L is only slightly outclassed by Jenners. Which isn't to say the Commando is complete trash, its still a light mech capable of running ciricles around heavier mechs, but whenever I see one in my 35 toners, its a free kill.

The Dragon is a really solid mech. Faster than other Heavies and Assaults, and able to pack a strong punch. I don't understand the Dragon hate on these forums. My Dragon eats anything below 70 tons for breakfast.

LOL @ the Dragon votes compared to the Awesome votes.
I think no one knows how to build the 5N. Each Dragon has a pretty powerful build. And I have yet to see another good duelist for long range use a Dragon properly.

Cents can go faster than dragons, and hunchbacks have more firepower. They're mediums. Dragon is heavy.

Cats are heavy, too. So are catas.
