Prior to the game starting, your just sitting there waiting for your team mates to join then the countdown. Not may battles are fought this way. Instead, how about a drop sequence? Where you're falling through the clouds and then at countdown start or end you break through the clouds and hit ground.

After the game is over, there's no time to gloat. There's no score recap that you can chat over, and nothing really worth talking about. If you found some players that you want on your team you should be able to discuss it out right then. There should be some sort of breakdown beyond points. Like time alive, maybe a visual of the post-game armor, or random stats that aren't that important but fun to see. While much too long, check out the ending stats for Left 4 Dead to get an idea of how to keep people talking about the game even after the action is over.

oooh yes, so much to do here.

And the thing is immersion. This game lacks it.

Just imagine something so simple as instead of waiting for the game to launch, being locked in your mech and seeing the clock ticking down. Instead of this, you have a sequence where you climb into your mech, start it up and have the system do an auto check. Or whatever. Or even better, something small, randomly happening. Climbing into the mech would bring perspective as to how big these machines are which is not that obvious at the moment.

After the game, stats, many more stats. Why not total number of shots, number of hits, hits taken, damage per shot, and hit spread, hit to ct/rt/lt etc. Why not a replay sequence of some intense sequence or the last kill or whatever.

All this brings immersion to the game and quite frankly, this game lacks it.
