Is it just me, or does the day-by-day timeline for this game seem like an odd move? Don't get me wrong, I think this definitely works for the first year or two of the game, as the days leading up to the clan invasion, and the invasion itself was a grueling, tense ordeal for citizens of the Inner Sphere. However, I do think that going year-by-year following the clan invasion limits the possibility for new 'mech content and events. I definitely support the optimistic views for this game, and looking forward to the events following the clan invasion, such as the FedCom Civil War and the Word of Blake ***** is definitely good.....but seriously, if we were to go year-by-year, then we need to wait for October 3067 (or October 2030 in real time) for the WoB *****....quite a long time, almost impossibly long for an MMO...even WoW has only been around 8 years, let alone 18, with numerous rumors of plans to shut down the game by 2015 or so.

Anyway, onward to the suggestion part of it. Part 1) Everyone who can, keep contributing to this game both in terms of purchasing MC or special programs (if they do a second founder's program or some other contribution package), and part 2) I suggest that perhaps accelerate the timeline after the first two years of the game, maybe to one "year" in the Battletech timeline being a quarter of the year (so...for example, after 2051, then 2052 will last January through March 2015; then 2053 April through June, etc.) Any thoughts?

I'm hoping they decide to speed it up, or else some of the more interesting weapons and uprgades like the x-laser add on and the rotary AC's and LBX 2, 5, and 20 might not even make it in the game

I would like to see this game cover the FedCom Civil War, the *****, and maybe even the Dark Age. This cannot happen with a 1:1 time scale. An alternative to speeding up the time scale would be to simply skip over intervening periods where not much happened. For instance, after the Clan Invasion, we could skip directly to the FedCom civil war, and then to the *****.

I think they were saying that they will jump ahead in the timeline once we're ready for a new tier of equipment.
