1) Within 30 degrees of center for torso reticule, SSRMs are semi guided(when locked), meaning they they will land where you aim and follow your crosshairs... (SSRM aiming).

2) If fired while locked, and players loses contact of reticule and enemy, (like missing with a ballistic) SSRM enter auto mode where as they can hit 6 possible locations, excluding the head. This is randomized per missile.

3) Once semi guidance is lost, it cannot be regained.

Net effect:

If players hold on target while firing, SSRMS will hit where they are aimed.

However, if enemy to player is at and angle that otherwise direction weapons such as lasers or ballistics could not hit by drawing a line, ( lasers can't curve to hit the center torso), they will enter random hit location mode.

If players choose to jump fire SSRMS, in a fire and forget fashion, hit locations will be dispersed between 6 locations.

If players choose to fire SSRMS like a ballistic or laser, having to maintain aim, they will not neccessarily hit the center, but where they are aiming, giving it no advantage over a laser or ballistic, but an advantage of hitting 100% if they miss as anytime crosshair is not ony target they operate as 6 random hit locations.
