Allow players to make presets of camo patterns. Patterns bought can then be switched for free.

Before drop in to game. Players can switch between preset cameo patterns. For example, desert camo, forrest/snow camo etc. Depending on map.

Cameo functions as actual cameo in game.

Win, win for PGI and gamer:
Players will make actual camo instead of silly colors like they are now. Players will also have more reason to buy multiple patterns for a single mech, since they can be switched now depending on battlefield condidtions = more $$ for PGI.

i think if they actually put this in. people will have more reason to make patterns that are actual "Cameo" instead of silly colors of black, rainbow, or purple whatever, which is what they do now. Which is just silly to see in game. Makes much more sense to see military style cameo instead of these Mardigras colored mechs.

Well it makes the most sense. I assume later on the full match maker will also allow player's to select what game mode and map they want to play on, kind of how BF3 works where you have a huge number of options that can be 'checked' to find servers. If someone wants to wear a winter paint scheme on their Mech if they plan to play their favorite winter map over and over, it would make sense that they have a saved paint scheme before they enter the map. And vice versa, if one wanted to switch to another map with desert, etc.

I would recommend trying to get your hands on the PC gamer MWO issue, if you haven't yet... It gives you 3 colors, one of which is pretty much black. And the pattern for the older mechs... You can't use the pattern on Cicada, Cataphract or any of the new mechs comming out, BUT from what I've seen so far, you can use PC gamer colors on all of the mechs!!! And you get 3, black red and white (I think), that you can use for free every time... It is not a terrible deal, until they maybe rethink the whole system.
