Well I'm a vet of MW4, and new to MWO. I'm confused as to what factors into your ability to detect others, and others' ability to detect you in MWO. For instance:

(1) Obviously having BAP will increase your detection ability, but does it make you easier to detect as well?

(2) Having ECM will decrease the enemy's ability to detect you, I get that.

(3) Are there controls for turning radar on/off and going passive to make it harder for the enemy to detect you?

(4) Does your heat level affect the enemy's ability to detect you? (ie. if you are running hot, you are easier to spot?)

LOS, range and manual shutdown. Modified by BAP and modules.



Those are the only factors that I am aware of.

radar is actually not radar, it is a line of sight sensor array.

LOL. We can strap a nuclear reactor into an armored walking tank, but we can't get real ground radar!
