I don't hate the P1 MM change. It's awesome and greatly helped solo queues. "Everyone" is only those wanting to steamroll pugs for easy C-Bills, not anyone else. The ironic thing is that you can still steamroll pugs effectively or just as often with 4man teams if you're any good. So to group players that were good, nothing has changed. To group players that were bad; they now have to put effort into getting wins. I don't disagree that 8man premade teams should exist, but they should only exist when the system properly supports it. Allowing 8premade vs 8pug was horrible and hopefully they never allow that again. When 5-8 is brought back, they need to be matched up only vs other 5-8 teams, not just 8 puglings to stomp for easy cash.

That's what I meant with "everyone hates it".
Clans don't get to play properly together anymore without having to bother with random guys and PUG hate it because they get stomped just the way they got stomped before.
No one is happy with this lukewarm, quick "solution" before MM is actually working. It's a pain for everyone.

Sure, I was exaggerating with "everyone" but don't tell me you'd actually consider Phase 1 any good in general.

I don't want 3rd person view at all!! Why is PGI selling us these cockpit items if no one sees the cockpit at all (aka 3rdperson)?

This is a good point. If spectator moved to third person, then basically no one would ever see those fancy things you put in your cockpit except you.

This is why we should have an optional bubble head like display of our mech in the cockpit. This allows pgi the potential to sell more camo kits, provide some visual reference for torso twist, and is not exploitable like a true 3rd person view.

Problem solved.

I like this, like MW3s full 3d target displays but, of your own mech.

I think the OP and everyone who echoes his sentiments are in grave error.

Allow me to explain.

YES: Third person allows you to corner\wall\cliff etc. peak. Totally changing the information warfare game.

BUT: The real reason IGP\PGI have and I daresay WILL make a case for 3rd person is because they think\know it will help with cosmetic sales. Paint schemes and patterns for our mechs are really expensive, but more casual players are going to be alot less likely to spend big money on something they aren't staring at all day.

Don't worry I hate the idea of 3rd person as much as the most rabid fanboy, but it won't be included to "help new players" it will be included to bolster cosmetic sales.

I think the community has been too harsh on PGI in many posts, but 3rd person would get me to hate-post for days.

The day 3rd person is included we can all safely post that IGP\PGI are a bunch of greedy hacks. Until it happens we must all try to be respectful.

Well in that case there is no grave error to be made. You agree it will reduce the level of sophistication in todays battles and must agree that MW piloting is indeed a sophisticated players game.

However your counter argument retains only a valid marketing point, not a valid battle point. So while your view is valid in one aspect, it is not valid in this aspect; this being regarding battle, not profitability.

Again; you do make a valid point in regards to that aspect.
