So Muromets owners, hows your week with your hero mech? Are you still using it? Do you still like it? :)

I voted iffy cos even though its really fun to play around with, there are other variants that actually perform better in terms of combat effectiveness for me.

Even though I am iffy, I am still using it most of the time for the C-Bills boost...hehehe

It's alright, but it's what the player makes of it. I'm using it to grind the first pilot tier right now. Then it's just a waiting game until they release something worth spending the insane amount of cash on MC for, like an atlas hero mech, or hunch etc.

It's the only variant of the chassis I have. I bought the base model (with the XL) with cbills, didn't care for it so much and sold it back, then they released this.

I've been using other Cataphracts just to XP them up, I still jump in for the c-bill boost and XP. I'll likely need to purchase more MC to convert the XP to GXP so I can make use of it.

If you are still playing with it, what is your most successful build so far?

Still love it. I have 4 different cataphracts and the IM and 2X are my favorites. Cbill boost definitely helps but i definitely still prefer the IM to the 4X.

My current build is

Std Engine 275
DHS
Endo

2x MLAS
2x AC2
1x AC10

Simple, effective, low repair & rearm costs. Got 5 kills in one round with it yesterday :)

I still love mine, but it's set up as a triple UAC DPS machine [seriously, 3 uacs will melt even Atlases even with the hilarious jamming rates] and requires an XL engine to maintain it's speed while carrying that loadout, so I only use it when I'm in a full 4 or 8 man group that already has the other critical roles filled.

It's fragile, so I play it as a close fire support mech, ideally partnered up with an Atlas or three and letting them draw fire away from my juicy XL side torsos.

Interesting... I run a much more aggressive setup...

Original XL engine
2 X AC10
1 X Gauss
1 X Large Pulse Laser

Kinda like an direct step up of your setup but with lesser armor I suppose.

Stock pretty much.

2x's AC5
1x AC10
and either 2 MLAS, or I'll ditch them for heatsinks / ammo.

I love this mech.

2x UAC/5
1x LB-X 10
2x Medium Lasers

Use the ultra cannons from a distance, both arm mounted and set to group 1 (non-chain).

The lbx is great for legging lights that try to circle strafe you.

Yeah, mine has almost full armor except for the legs. My plan is to swap back to the XL engine when I don't need to farm c-bills, and mount an AC20 in place of the AC10. I run gauss on my 3D with two LLs and two MPLs

I run 3 Uac5s, 200 rounds and 2 MLas.

Instead of chain firing them, I fire them in 2 groups. 1 for the 2 in the arms, 2 for the UAC in the torso.
The MLas are sort of just for when the ammo runs out or they get destroyed.

you can't run an AC/20 and an XL engine at the same time.crit slots limitations.

I still have fun with the muromets. It's a decent mech, with a nice cbill boost.I've been through about a million different load outs with it.gauss,U/AC5's,ac2's,AC10's,LB10X's.If arm mounted ballistics didn't act so wonky sometimes, and the firing delay wasn't so terrible sometimes...it'd be a lot more fun.I really just use it to grind cbills for now.

dual/trip U/AC5 is hilarious fun when it works and the jam randomness is on your side, but i'm too impatient to not just spam the thing into jam jail.

dual gauss is,as it always been,brutal...but you have to either go stupid slow,or mount an XL which turns the thing into a death trap because of it's gigantic barn door profile.

Oddly enough,I think I have the most fun with dual LB10X's,I know they aren't the best weapons in town, and I feel like i'd be more effective using....well...almost anything else really. But man is it awesome seeing all those little pellets explode out at the enemy! I do alright with it honestly, not great, but alright....usually 300-700 damage a game,2-4 kill shots.sometimes better, sometimes worse, just depends on how impatient I get.

I find I have to be a lot more aware of my movement and position in the field with this mech as opposed to some of my other mechs. If i get caught out in the open I don't really have the speed to escape every time. Also due to the mech's huge profile, and moderate armor load, it feels frail in comparison to many of my other mechs, even the ones that are considerably lighter.

I didn't care for it at first but have grown to love it.

I kept the XL it came with and armed it with 3 UAC5s with 9 tons of ammo, 2 M lasers, and a single dual heat sink.

I also like my 1X, 2X and 4X...

I'm running the the triple LBX-10 model wiht 2 med lsrs back up . I follow in with anohter assault and shred the armor down on alot of mechs. good thing also is if I get in a circle strafe with other assualts they fight to keep some shot on me ,where my spread still eats em up. I finished tier one pilot ,so i took engine out for now and threw on my raven. However it still is fun to swap back over and run around with my buds.

I run two Gauss Rifles, two Medium Lasers, AMS, and a Small Laser (because I had a half a ton left). I upgraded it to Endosteel and Double Heat Sinks.

300XL (75kph with speed tweak)

2 AC10s (5 tons ammo) (right arm and right torso, I prefer this to the 2 arm mounts)
Large Laser (arm mount)
2 Medium Lasers (torso)

ES and DHS.

Answered yes to both, but please keep in mind I'm working on my cataphract tree. That said, REALLY enjoying the mech.

Still playing around with the load out a bit, but current running:

RA: LBX10 / Large Pulse
RT/LT: Medium Pulse
LA: UAC5

Running with endosteel and DHS and a 295 xl (to be upgraded to a 300 when I have the cbills.)
