Partially signed. I've spent a lot of time aiming at imaginary mechs in front of real mechs to near worship the glory that is state rewind. For lazors at any rate.
Bring on ballistics and the rest! DO IT.

I have to agree with the people that say the problem is the code. My ping is usualy below 100 and I cant hit anything. ESPECIALY lights. On MWLL my ping usualy sits around 300 and I have NO problems hitting even sniping at long ranges against moving mechs. I have noticed since I started playing that the weapons don't seem to fire when you pull the trigger. there is a split second delay before firing that makes it almost impossible to hit. I have no idea why they built that into the game, but it does seem to be a game mechanic.
Also on a similar but different note PGI needs to add an ingame mouse adjuster. the hoops you have to jump through just to adjust your mouse speed is unprofessional. The game is ok and its fun to build mechs, but the combat is broken to a degree that will doom this game to failure very soon if not fixed.
I love mechwarrior stuff and the upgrades are cool, but bottomline is that this game is just not fun to play.

by the time you posted this i'd say nz's problems would be fixed.
If you have issues with a sub 300 ping now it's probably your connection and how stable it is. They have noted that if your ping jumps around a lot HSR means your going to have a bad time, in some cases worse than the previous implementation.
As an Australian player with a 200+ ping standard i'm even able to tag lights with ballistics fairly regularly since the late feb patch and it's netcode fixes
