Getting the error "failed to purchase primary color" and "failed to purchase pattern" when trying to apply either my PC gamer skin or the PC gamer colours to my mechs, what gives?

Edit: not to mention my client has frozen up once and crashed to desktop twice while trying to do this also :/

I am just guessing here, but I think even if it is a free (0 MC) skin you may still need MC in order for the transaction to work.

I was able to apply the PC gamer skin colors for free yesterday with Black as my Primary, Red secondary and white tertiary on my Jenner.

It is a known issue that you can't apply the PC Gamer 'colour swatches' if you have 0 MC.

Umm, i'm not really up to scratch on this kind of thing, but can they force you to buy MC to use a promotional item that you already purchased via the magazine? I don't read PC gamer and only bought it to get the skins etc.

Surely there's something not right there.

But since your are a founder you have some MC in stock( more than 0). Read again the dude you have quoted.

They are not forcing you, it's called a Bug, So you have to wait for a fix or buy the smalest MC package for 5$.

That's called "a bug". The testers probably all have 999999999 MC on the test server so they can buy **** to test with, and so wouldn't have seen the bug in the test envoronment. (it can't be detected if you have MC and/or are a founder)

That would be a good assumption, it is wrong but still good. :(

I think someone who has ever had MC, evne if they now have 0, is affected differently than someone who never had any MC. you're an elite, you have/had MC, you're immune to the bug.

This bug affects those that never had any MC. This is not intended behavior and we will get it fixed. You are not 'forced' to pay for a free reward, its just not quite as freely available as we had originally intended.

Anyone with a balance of 0, that previously had MC will be able to equip this pattern and its colors as per normal.

Thanks!
Muggins

Except if they have changed the colors on any other skin on their mech. In that case the colors you changed are applied to all skins, PC gamer skin included, on that mech, effectively erasing the default colors for the PC gamer skin. So basically, if you like your PC gamer skin with its default colors on that mech, you will either have to avoid changing the colors on any skin on that mech, pay to change the colors to the exact same colors used on the PC gamer skin in the exact same channels, or be prepared to pay to change them back if you should ever choose to repaint that mech to the PC gamer skin and want the defaults.

Only mentioning this so people know they need to practice a bit of due diligence when deciding what they want to do with their paint jobs.
