We are not talking about the same Banshee. The original design is indeed crappy (unless for a good melee capability). I'm talking about the BNC-3M, the mech I would choose instead of a tech level 1 Atlas.

The BNC-5S sounds like a very capable 'Mech with its Gauss rifle, Twin ER PPC's, SRM-6, 4 x Medium Lasers and 2 Small lasers.
*It has an XL engine though so you have to be careful with it, which is the only let down.

But the BNC-3M still seems weak to me
Having a Pair of PPC's and a pair of Medium Lasers isn't great for a 95 tonner & this puts a massive strain on the heat displacement system which taxes it too much. Unless you can use double heat sinks to replace the singles!

I have a feeling we're in for a heavy or assault class. With a Raven (L) as nine and Cicada (M) as ten it would make sense for the next one to be a tank or high damage dealer class. I would like a Mauler or Zeus... However medium mechs are the "workhorses" and there are more of them than anything according to the videos so another medium (perhaps on the opposite side of the spectrum of the Cicada) could show up. A Trebchet or Dervish would be a welcome sight.

There's a tonnage gap that need filled, so I'm guessing a heavy mech. :P

The jump from Catapult 65 tons to Awesome 80 tons is a 15 ton gap.

I think we need a 75 tonner to balance it out.

Hmm... Number Eleven... Number Eleven...

Well, My best guess for this one would be an Assault 'mech. So far, it seems the pattern has been Light-Medium-Assault-Heavy, so it would only make sense we'd see an Assault coming up next.

As for which assault, my guesses are as follows:

Most Popular: Zeus, Victor, or Mauler -The first two designs have recieved a lot of press thanks to the Mechwarrior 4 series They're both decent choices, but since the 80-ton role has already been filled, I can't help but feel that popularity might not be the deciding factor on this one. The Mauler is an 85 Tonner, but since the Fire Support role has already been filled by the Awesome, I feel that the Mauler would be cool, but redundant.

Most Appropriate: Stalker or Cyclops - I personally think the Stalker would make a most excellent addition to the lineup. It's supposed to be the most common assault 'mech in existence, so not having it in the lineup would feel odd. I know that FD shares some of my love for the design, and it's a very sturdy and well-rounded machine, so there's a good chance it could make it into the roster. Alternately, the Cyclops would fill the still-missing role of a Command-mech. With it's powerful command computer, it would fill the role of an electronics specialist 'mech very well. If we don't get to see the Stalker, the Cyclops would be most appropriate.

Quick question for y'All...

Is the Black Knight mech you're referring to the one from the original TRO manuals, or the one from the MS4 series of games?

I prefer the one from the TRO manuals>

Anyone...Bueller? :P

The problem is that the Cyclops is the poor-man's Atlas when it comes to fighting, and we already have the Atlas. I'm with you on team Stalker.

thing is,I DONT EVEN LIKE ORION,not that I hate it but its just logical... main thing is it fits in tonnage hole,we need 75ton heavy, another is that its popular, widespread, era correct, good design featured in MW3 too,its just logical to assume that is next mech

I would love to see the Orion as the next mech. I would flip out if it was the Warhammer but as it's unseen . If the next is an assault then Stalker or Cyclops would be my bet.

For me, I'd like to see the Warhammer on there, definitely. They put it in the videos, no reason to miss it now. As for assaults, I loved the look of the Highlander.

I don't like the Unseen and the "Star League Mechs" are supposed to be rare. So they shouldn't be standard starting designs imo.
That said my vote (not that it matters) is for the Orion. I also have a soft spot for the Grasshopper as it was the first Mech I ever piloted.

I'd really like to see the Warhammer, but really don't think that's going to happen unfortunately. However I'd settle for the Warhammers older, slightly heavier brother the Hammerhands.

Put me in the Orion camp as to what we are most likely going to see next. Personally, I would rather have the Thunderbolt.
