I had two topics for conversation come up, so I figured I’d tackle both on the same thread…

I was batting around an idea with fellow players while in a four man group the other day that I think would be worthwhile investigating for PGI. When in command of a group, the ‘Not Ready’ button on the top right of the screen should actually become a ‘Launch’ button that highlights automatically when the last member of your group readies for action. The current functionality of the button seems rather redundant to me, considering the group cannot launch without the commander being ready. The commander is forced to toggle between pages in an effort to simply launch the group with the system currently in place.

As for a prediction, I wanted to say that it has been a long time coming for 8 player teams to actually face 8 player teams. We have had an exodus of sorts over the issue, so I am hopeful that these players will come back in droves… those teams who left over the disappointment of being cut in half by their vast numbers. I am sad to say, however, that I feel the new queue will be fairly empty. When players realize that their average match length will skyrocket due to the necessary tactics involved, and stiffer competition, I am left wondering if the players may not flock right back to the four man premade queues. Games there are faster, given the presence of Trial Mechs and new players that are still getting their bearings. Imagine playing four matches an hour, breaking even with a 2 - 2 win-loss record, and your rewards being roughly a wash… versus eight matches in an hour with a 7 -1 win-loss record and a bucket load of profits. Sadly, I think that the premade groups, despite all their previous disappointment and discouragement, will slowly gravitate away from their own demands and take a more profitable route for time spent. It is human nature, really.

Thoughts?

I agree but i think that 8 man premades will be the people who no longer need cbills or experience and are simply playing for the fun of the game. Also my overwhelming attraction to 8 man premades is not having to deal with suicide farmers. I realize that alot of "afk" players are disconnects but atleast in an 8 man group we will know who disconnected and adjust accordingly. I look forward to the return of the 8 man group and also I am glad they decided to keep the 4 man drop available as well. I predict that suicide farmers and people looking to exploit the game will be an even bigger problem in 4 man drops. I also agree with you on the launch button with and addition i would like a check box that can be selected to autolaunch the group once everyone is ready.

You do not need to toggle between pages, you can click your 'not ready' box inside the group menu to toggle readiness.

Right, but I am suggesting they make it seamless so that it can be done from either page... as an automatic update for commanders.
