Will mechs be configured in this up coming game to fall over easier, just like the original board game? This will make it very much, a better experience in my mind.

Comparing it to mechwarrior 4, mechwarrior 4 has this function, but in my opinion the mechs don't fall over as much as they should be.

It's amusing in megamek to watch a 'mech with crippled leg actuators repeatedly fail piloting rolls until it cores itself through the back armor while trying to get up, but I imagine it'd be less enjoyable in a 1st-person game.

It might be fun at first but casual players would start leaving the game due to frustration. This is not a profitable buisness decision.

Well FRR mechs (at least those of the 'Borg) fall over all the time because we are usually too drunk to keep our mechs upright. Also makes us do the mech equivalent of drunken fist. its hard to hit us and we are insanely accurate.

I thought it was because we replaced our gyros with keggerators. I feel jusht fine to drive...

Well, Gauss, Autocannons, and PPCs, along with loss of armor create knockback, thus having some of the mechs falling over would be good. In the video, the Catapult fell onto it's face like a drunken frat boy with it's legs in the air, and it just vanished. Hopefully it will change.

'Mechs falling down isn't THAT common. They always just had to make their piloting roll. Alot of times I never made it, but that is besides the point lol. :(

It depends on how much knockback the Dev's want in the game. I wouldn't mind realistic pyshics one bit. If light mechs truly are difficult to hit as many flavor posts and videos have indicated, I think that higher knockdown chance is fine. If I drill a Cicada with an AC 10 to it's torso while it's mid-stride, you're darn sure it's going to go down.

I do understand how frustrating that would get and it very discouraging to certain players... But IMHO it's a valid balancing point to lighter mechs.

I was thinking this as well especially as a way to balance different classes of mechs. You could factor in the speed a mech is moving along with how much force it is being hit with in terms of that particular weapon and how light/heavy it is.

Now that it has been brought up, I know I have often seen mechs fall in MW4 but I don't think I can recall ever falling myself.... weird.
