I blame you for trying to instruct a non-entity such as agent in coherent and revolutionary thought processes.

I just needed to respond to this and could not due to the nature of the thread it was pulled from as i did not want to be off topic.

I exist, I think about stuff. I am an entity.

But given my life long philosophy off eliminating things I don't like thought process of "I think therefore you are not"

I put my existence up for debate.

"You think therefore you exist". The deeper aspect is whether you believe this to be as a choice you make or not, but principally if you provide cause and effect by your own actions then you have to exist as an entity surely?

yay, i started a deep and meaningful thread. also technically agent, you are a unit.

also, the quoted statement was purely a joke and not an attack in any way shape or form.

That's fair but now it's a very important existential debate.

congratulations, you have called my existence into question and now it must be discussed.

That'll teach you to make irresponsible jokes on the internet!

Until I can see you, smell you, hear you, taste you and touch you, I have no absolute proof you exist. Therefore I do not believe in you.

Actually, I'm not even sure this forum or game exist. Might be, I'm just dreaming this all up. A weird dream... A weird, frightning and disturbing dream... but who knows for sure if I don't?

Legally you are a person. Unless you are an organization that gets the same treatment under the law as a person, then yes your are an entity. Specifically a corporate entity, but an entity nonetheless.

At least that is how I remember it from my accounting and finance classes.

This is the problem.

this thread had to exist because someone called me into question.

now me might need threads for all those other things.

Stop questioning things!

When a MOD questions things the universe begins to unravel.

You don't want to taste Agent! You don't know where he/she/it has been... that is if he/she/it has been.

It's true I'm probably not safe

assuming i do exist, also if it turns out I am a corporation tasting might result in unfortunate lawsuits.

Lets just avoid tasting... and probably touching too.

What i do know is there are many options and few selections and this may be indicative of my non-existance

not existing would make me sad.

This may help my case for existance.

I got a Garth 'like' I'm going to assume Garth doesn't like things that don't exist.

It's an indicator, but not yet proof. If you could get Garth to officaly declare your existence, you might have a point there.

We would then need to open up a philosophical circle to discuss this statement of Garth, how this might change the world for better or worse.

Ooh good point.

How do we go about having Garth affirm or deny my existence thereby expanding the debate?

Simply ask him?

A response, positive or negative, might be another indicator for your existence. Silence might be one for your non-existence though.

But does Garth have to get permission from Paul to make such important statements?

How does one even go about asking Garth?

Do I IM him

is it appropriate?

edit...
I have dared as the MODS commanded, I have sent a request unto the ELDER MOD known to all as Garth.

Now we wait

I didn't realize it but I've slowly adopted mechsimsolipsism. Frankly, I'm not 100% sure any of you exist as anything other than a complex social interaction simulation that the dev's dreamed up to keep me amused in between games of MWO (which is actually single player only).
