There's no conceivable reason why a dual LRM20 salvo should hit 85-95% CT from 750m or more... besides target distribution code changing. Sure, people are getting a bit better, but not that much.

Last pach had HEADSHOT problem. So, they fixed it. :)

Now we die because CT bug.

There are a number of reasons this can happen. You were standing still, someone was tagging your mech and the LRM launcher had Artemis IV on it.

I regularly core out stationary mechs with my Atlas D-DC, 3 LRM 15s with Artemis.

Most fun is watching an Atlas lumber directly towards me at his 45-60kph. If I hold him in direct LOS from 500m away he'll die before he gets to 200m from my self tagged LRM fire.

Weapon load outs are getting more powerful and/or more widespread. More and more people are packing a lot more punch and can sustain them better. So yeah, its faster and easier to core someone than play around with arms and side torsos.

XL Engines even seem less utilized, side torsos are more of a gamble now. Just go for the sure thing.
