I have to give credit where credit is due. I know opinions are like aholes but I enjoy most of the sounds in this game from the bass rumbling steps of an approaching atlas to the drum beat of pulse lasers.

Still new to mech outfitting and I decided to try a dual ac5 build in my hbk-4? (ballistic one). So I haven't figured out if I like the build or not, but as I'm chain firing the 5s into the back of an awesome I hear what sounds like heavy artillery cases being ejected from the weapon breach...classic, I love it.

The sounds and aesthetics of this game are awesome, I think most people would agree on that even. Even on these forums.

Yesthere are many overcritical posts in this forums (me included)
But that's just because we love the game.

May credit to PGI:
Really every implemented mech so far is great and has it's role. Good work PGI!

LOL, you would be suprised. I think the game looks and sounds awesome, but there have been MANY MANY MANY threads complaining about the look of this game.

THIS! THIS! THIS!

The sound effects are AWESOME (pun intended).

I love hearing my teammates in cataphracts and atlai! I only roll commando, so I can't mount ballistics, but I love the way they sound!

... It goes well with the euro-beat.

You know, tough love isn't all it's cracked up to be.

One thing I would like down the line is the casings to be ejected with physics properties and sounds. As in you can hear and see the casing hit the ground and bounce off of things.

Not at all necessary but it would be cool visually.

If MGs ever become viable I would use them all the time.

I am pretty sure that AC ammo is caseless and the noise you are hearing is actually the new round being loaded into the AC. That is why AC ammo is so vulnerable to explosions. But with the machine gun, imaging seeing all those casings just showering off the mech as the are fired.

Using the ac beat as a dubstep drop. :-)

I swear after I was dead the other day watching through the eyes of an atlas that I saw a missile go spinning away after the launcher was critically hit. Funny as hell.

We might also be able to use all those machine gun casings as a chaff cloud to break missile lock.

Oh I've been here awhile. Puggin' since open beta day 1. Been on the forums that long too. Seen it all, read it all. But on this occasion I wanted to highlight something I enjoyed. I mean hell, the game still sounds amazing when I've got the peepee on my viewscreen, or the new one today...on the minimap, my arrow was pointing a completely different way than my torso. That makes it real hard to get your bearings with torso twist. The issue threads are mostly valid and the should lead generally to a better game, but doesn't really diminish the fact that I am really having fun.

Yeah that's happened to me. Orange/yellow screen and the minimap opposite direction thing. Sounds are mostly good. Some pulse laser sounds seem kinda underwhelming though. I do really love the AC sounds though. One tip for the minimap messups though, for working with your torso, is that the hud shows you where your torso/legs are pointing. Top arrow and its number are where your torso is pointing, while the bottom arrow and its number are where your legs are pointing.

How could people complain about the looks of the game? It looks amazing.

A and good post op. I agree whole heartedly...but I'm an easy mark for anything mechwarrior related

yeah love this game for it's art design, graphics and the sounds really good too. much better than mw4 that game had really poor sound and graphics even compared to mw3. even with all the faults happening at the moment i'm hanging around to play a game that looks great sounds great and will eventually play great.

It'd be nice if that was clearly explained in some tutorial or something, but we make due with what we have, lol.

MW3 is the best by far when it comes to presentation and cockpit experience, 'mech textures, and stuff like that. I loved how the cockpit glass would crack and how knockdowns worked in first person. It was amazing.

I can't complain about the graphics too much, just about performance. The real problem is that lots of people need to run this game on low settings, and on those settings, some of the textures look like an N64 game, haha.
