Gravity

By this I mean if you are fighting on a high gravity world do you jump jets become less effective, do you take longer to get up if knocked down, do you slow down more going up hills etc
On the Other side on a low gravity moon do you soar like an eagle with jump jets? Do you become less agile (think like trying to run underwater except withOut the water resistance)

Wait a minute. I just had Deja Vu.
That would be a great gameplay mechanic for a few maps. Let's hope sometime post launch they get a chance to play with this idea.
Cheers.

Although it might be more difficult from a balance perspective. So maybe something to do at some point after release.

At least, that's my hope.

I think you're right. I don't think it would be that far of a stretch to say that PGI may even poll the community to see what kind of maps they want to play on.

Myself I would love some low gravity maps but I do envision myself dying allot if I have jumpjets...
” Yes! Look at me fly! Why did my icon just change to a pinata?”

Not ALL resources worth defending are in 1g environments. We have asteriods in our inner solar system a mile wide comprised of gold. Some businessmen are already discussing mining them and setting up a corporation off world (orbit) to avoid international treaty red tape.

I just think it would be funny to have a very low gravity, an assault mech with twin ac/20 point blank alpha striking a Jenner and watching it sail off into the sunset on its back.
And it will add s nice depth to the game.

And as the Jenner flies off into the sun set, the pilot says "were blasting off again!!"

The same generally holds true for things like night maps, heavy weather maps, maps with heavy concentration on either close quarters or wide open combat, etc.
Essentially - most people don't like being taken too far out of the norm. Gravity is one of those fundamental settings, like having enough light to see your enemy. Best not to force it on people in multiplayer.
One exception to this is if you can filter out or specifically opt in to maps with low gravity/altered gravity settings.

i agree it should be part of any map, as i see it it should be same like when you check on map how much heat cooling is effective. Its strange that every planet have 9.81g.
