Hello. I have noticed an error with the versions on Mekpak 3.1 with the multi-player. My friend and I cannot play multi-player, because I have and my friend has .0028, even though we are both using the same Mekpak. When I tried to connect to one of my other friend's servers when he was hosting, I was unable to connect because I had the lower version that time. I also tried to use the MekMatch at davion.mektek.net, but that didn't work because of the above issues. How can I resolve this issue? I can't recommend this to my friends until this issue is resolved so that multi-player works. If there is a fix, could you please post a notification for everyone to see on your homepage?

Thank you!

That was the letter I sent to Mektek, but G-Mail failed to send it. Anyone else have this error? Anyone know how to resolve it? Yes, the servers showed up. PLEASE HELP!

I didn't know that there were multiple servers 0-0. I saw a few people.

Use the mtx.exe and do a update then u will have to open the ports manually

What port? I did download it, but I can't do Multi-player with my friend. I did enter all the IP addresses correctly.

Sounds to me you have the usual problem of being set to davion. Follow these instructions:

Close Mercs if it is running.
In Windows go to Start menu and Run command.
Type regedit and click OK.
On the left pane of the window that appears look for HKEY_CURRENT_USER.
Click on the + next to HKEY_CURRENT_USER to expand the list.
Look for Software in the dropdown list.
Click on the + next to Software to expand the list.
Look for mektek.net in the dropdown list.
Click on the + next to mektek.net to expand the list.
Look for MekMatch in the dropdown list.
Click on the MekMatch folder and the right pane of the window will show its contents.
There is an entry called ZoneServer which is set to davion.mektek.net by default.
Double click the ZoneServer text and a popup window appears.
Change the value data to kurita.mektek.net and click OK.
Exit the registry window and restart Mercs, it'll now be set for the Kurita MekMatch server.

... For the last time: I am not having problems with mekmatch!!

My friend tries to connect: I have a higher version. EVEN THOUGH we have the same MekPak.

I try to connect to someone elses server (that isn't Kurita, BTW!!): I have a LOWER VERSION!

Guy you are looking at davion. You already have a problem. One thing at a time. If you do not want the help say so & I will stop posting. Once you get to kurita you will see different colors for older versions, the one you have & newer ones if any. You need to get your *** to the right spot first of all. Version can simply be updated after. Try listening to the people who have been playing the game for years.
