On/off Twist Speed & Arm Reflex

Seriously, i don't want my arms and torso to move any faster than they already do. Not only does it give me a massive headache and makes aiming steadily a pain, it's unrealistic.
There's a thread out there where someone calculated the speed which the torso turns. Basically it concluded, the pilot's head would snap out the window turning left and right at those speeds lolllllllllll (Can anyone please find that thread?)
I've already lowered my mouse settings all the way down to 200 DPI and i wouldn't mind if i could do it even more.
What i do want is an engine Speed Tweak but of course i can't advance to Elite due to the way mech tree is set up.
Is there going to be a change to this anytime soon?
Is the increase all that noticeable?
Some people want it, some people don't. Please don't force us do things in a way we don't want that puts us at a disadvantage.
The problem is, if the mech tree becomes more sophisticated, how would current upgrades be affected if say specialization paths were created (eg. speed, heat, aim, engine etc...) Would the upgrades already purchased be automatically unlocked in the new branches? Or would their be a re-set and re-credit of XPs?
Because of the headache (pun intended) this would cause, i have a bad feeling not much will change. If that's the case, then i propose an ON/OFF switch at least.
Does anyone else agree?

Faster moving torso/arm twist = faster to get weapons on target, easier to keep weapons on target while maneouvering.
If you don't want that, you probably need to practice more or switch those LRMs/Streaks to direct-fire weapons.
I can't see a single situation where I would want to turn those efficiencies off.

a ) get an adjustible DPI mouse
b ) slow down on the coke intake

Sure it might be better for you but maybe others prefer a more deliberate approach as opposed to twitch shooting. Okay, you can get on target faster but i'd like to see you hold on to it. Now try with zoom while taking fire....
Besides, its' not realistic at all if you consider this to be simulationish and if you consider yourself to be piloting a 50+ ton mech.
The bigger picture of this though is we are forced down a funnel some may not want to follow in. We lose control of customization and play style which isn't good
Btw, none of my builds incorporate missiles right now

I do that every day. Including the zoomed-in sniping. Faster torso/arm twist is simply and objectively better. See below for a remedy to what ails you.

What you want is a mouse sensitivity slider in the options screen, not some hare-brained on/off switch for pilot efficiencies.

what they need are two toggle buttons for "lock torso twist" and "lock arms reticle to torso reticle".

If you vote NO because you like the added speed, all you have to do is turn it ON lolllll

Sure let's do that. And while we're at it, we could solve the entirely separate problem for those who prefer a slower moving reticle - with or without arms/reticle lock by having an ON/OFF switch.
