Hello.
Nothing her is a game breaker for me. Just my thoughts.
The 'Home' page of the client. Do we really need it? sure ... have it when we first log in ... but then replace it with the mechlab. When we exit battle take us to the mechlab not the home page. The info there is great ..once ... but after that its just immersion breaking.
Avatar? We can select our house ... great ... why not let us upload a picture for the avatar? or let us create a head and shoulders image ala EvE. Again more immersion.
Fullscreen the out of battle screen. I have no idea why, but even though I have fullscreen selected in the graphics options ... when I return from battle ... I drop to a windowed look. Which is always a little to low on my screen. so I have to drag it up to see my Cbills etc. Just fullscreen it already!
Can we make the mechlab 3d ... not just a backdrop ... but let us scroll round our mech. and see the hangar all around us. Again more immersion.
Just a few thoughts ... hope you all appreciate them.

I think they plan on having character customization. Not sure to what extent, though.
A few months ago, a MechWarrior2 developer came to the forums and posted his suggestions for revamping the mechlab...being able to walk around it, perhaps on catwalks, looking up at your towering behemoths. Then it was suggested by other people that it be an optional implementation. Perhaps you go to the mechlab as you do currently and there's a button you click to enter first-person mode. Then you can look at little monitors near the feet of each mech to see its mechbay information, modify it and so-on. I think that would be phenomenal.
As for the home screen...I completely agree. That type of information should be on the patcher, not on the home tab. Maybe have the ISN feed fore random lore informations, something else useful that I can't think of and also have the social tab permanently open on the home screen. Would make the four-mech ready list much more valuable, as the current system requires far too many clicks to get a match going(with lance, at least). It's like...I open my social thing to check if my buddies ar eready, then half the time I've forgotten to ready up myself, so I've gotta close the social thing then ready up only so I can open up the social thing again and click ready when everyone's ready and if someone isn't ready or unreadies just as I'm clicking the button, a little warning appears at the bottom that voids all interaction with the menu until I confirm that I've seen the warning >_>
It's just very poorly designed. BUT they have stated that they're changing the interface later on. It's a couple months off, though, I think but hopefully it's pretty damn good and incorporates some of these fine suggestions.

Also I know that paint jobs full fill a role in the sense they are money sinks ... but ... really ... the paint costs more than than the mech?
500,000 cbills would be a better price
