I really prefer the 2 PPC 1 GR Phract 3D simple for the option that I can jump snipe when the opportunity presents itself.

now, if this were still early december like when this thread was started, you might feel differently. i think when this thread was made jumpjets gave only enough lift to pick you about an inch off the ground

I'd rather use a K2, since the side torsos are harder to hit you're less likely to get a crit on your GR.

Dragons should never do less than 100kph... 2 reasons:

1. They die very easily at that slow speed

2. There are faster, more firepower mechs than that at that speed. Cataphract 1-X (5 large lasers, 85kph with speed tweak, 1.3 heat efficiency, 45 alpha), Pretty Baby (easily above 60 alpha, 89kph with speed tweak).

Yep. Dragons were meant for speed. Putting anything less than a 350 in your dragon is selling it short of it's full potential. I'm running 360's in all my dragons...topping out at 106.9 kph after speed tweak.

That's what I did for all my dragons as well. :D

I have seen 2x PPC + Gauss builds mostly on Phracts (especially in JJ snipers) but Dragon, hmm... Interesting idea. I use Gauss, SMR6 and 4 ML in my build, only 315 XL engine (was in my storage) which gives 93.6 km/h speed. Smurfy's mechlab, here I come...

It's only a pale copy of 6 PPC Stalker but worth of try :D

Drop a PPC, and swap the other PPC to ERPPC. Gauss rifle one arm, ERPPC other arm, mobile Dragon sniper moving at over 100 kph is more effective.
