I've always wondered why the art for alot of those old mechs looked so terrible, like yeah it was a long time ago now but I know people who sketch stuff wayyyy better looking than that. Most of them look so awkward or spindly. And obviously as this thread shows everyones opinion of iconic is different depending on when/where you got into something. As someone who got into this stuff with MW2/3 when i was really young madcat or atlas would probably be mine.

Also why does no one talk about mechwarrior 1, I NEVER even seen people mention it. Ever.

It wasn't nearly as popular as Mechwarrior 2. But it was the only one that took place before the Clan Invasion.

i think its funny, that PGI want a correct timeline and some of us are stuck with an old Dragon, which was mostly replaced by the GrandDragon starting 3025.

We're in the Inner Sphere, aren't we? I've searched through the entire database and haven't heard of a single 'mech called Timberwolf.
You've gotta get outside, take off your tinfoil hat, and stop going on about these government black-ledger jobs.

But seriously. It's Clan. Grow a pair and learn to fight with IS gear. You won't get Clan tech anyway.
