So, I've heard that some mechs can now glide, slide, or even hover across the map. However, I didn't think much of it until earlier when I was cruising around in my Dragon on Forest Colony- Conquest. I had just started coming under fire from a couple of missile boats when I over heated and auto-powered down. Earlier when I over heated, I pressed "P" to turn back on, but it took three presses and gave me a manual shutdown before I could press "P" again (four presses now), so I wasn't keen on trying again. After shutting down and making the decision to wait out the auto shut down, I notice my Dragon move forward a bit, but didn't think much of it.... that is until it made a full circle and lifted off the ground like it had jump jets (about 50-100 feet in the air, I'm guessing). Once in the air, my Dragon then decided to put me on a hill top about 500-600 feet away (which actually placed me out of range of the LRM boats :P ). At this point, I was baffled by what I had just witnessed, but managed to come out of it long enough to see what the movement controls would do while in the air (keep in mind my 'mech is completely shut down from overheating and has been that way for 15 seconds). As I figured the movement controls still worked and actually allowed my Dragon to move faster than some light mechs. However, there is no way to control elevation and you cannot use your weapons, but it does allow a mech that is shut down from heat to escape from an enemy mech. I haven't tried to reproduce it in a mech shut down manually.

The only silver lining from the possibly game breaking glitch is that the Dragon finally lives up to it's name sake ;)
