To make an online game widely popular and widely played, you must not exclude players with lower end rigs, which is the MAJORITY. CryEngine3 is a very poor choice of engine for online games because its requirements are really high end. That excludes a huge population of players which cannot be good for business. This is why almost no online MMO games have high end cutting edge graphics because for an online game, it is enough to struggle against lag that we should not have to struggle with graphics performance as well. Ultimately, it is not nice graphics that gets you good reviews but good gameplay (which of course still needs working on as well).

My advise if you want this game to grow and last... roll back to Cryengine2 and stay there (like in closed beta).

The game was always on Cryengine 3 though...

My mid-high end system will be a low end system by the time the game goes into full launch. That's just part of planning for the future on their part.

I could have sworn I read the same thread yesterday. And it was just as misinformed.

First this game was never a CryEngine2 title, it cannot "rollback".

Second bridging the gap between two version of a 3D engine is roughly equivalent to switching engines completely. Why do you think Unreal had been on the same version for 5+ years?
