It is a little hypocritical, isn't it? The Thinking Mans Shooter - no longer a Thinking mans shooter as PGI want to impliment Third Person because a large portion of the community can't think. They can't seem to use enough brain power to determine where their lower torso is pointing. Sadly, the massive arrow pointing your lower torso's direction isn't enough to jog the brain power of so many users.
"The Thinking Mans Shooter", not so much.

100 times?
1000 times?
3 years from now?
Do we need to make a forum bot whos only job is to say that every time a thread is made for it?

no what is dissapointing about that slogan and the game not meeting those expections would be the amount of tactics needed.
all you have to do is balance heat when you shoot and don't stray or you'll be picked on by "tHe GAng." radar isn't the old sat uplink system so you can't see how many are entering your field of radar which means you can't tactically engauge like the old game. sneaking up on others is far too easy in this mech warrior simply cause of the lack of radar compared to the past. then there's the physics which admittently aren't finished so a lot of mech driver management isn't there either which stands as a cruicial factor for tactics. are we bored of race to cap matches? cause the light's regaurdless of bumping into anything when harrased makes a mokery of the only game mode we've got.
so simple i think open beta came too soon. just stick around and hopefully we will get a lot more tactical awearness like in the old games being developed. then this will be THE best free 2 play game EVER.

This game in general requiring thought.
It's more complex than the CoD/Battlefield schlock that you see constantly repressed and released for extortionate prices but I'd hardly call the current iteration of MWO the "thinking mans shooter". Not only is it's shooting mechanics fairly bare bones themselves, the game simply isn't as complicated as most people think it is.
