I was thinking about using autohotkey to create a series of macros to use in in-game chat with my fellow PUGgers. I played exclusively solo PUG for about 4 months, and now play with a wingman over Skype with an old friend. I think using macros to provide simple chat commands would benefit everyone playing on my team greatly. Also, I do not believe it to be cheating, simply being more efficient.
Example (off the top of my head):
F1-Need help at base
F2-Enemy scout headed for our base
F3-Enemy sighted right
F4-Enemy sighted left
F5-Team, push right
F6-Team, push left
F7-Team, form together
F8-Team, defend current position
It's not the same as calling targets over the comm, etc., but this is just the basic idea, and will improve it over time. One of those specialty keypad controllers will help as I can assign all those keys exclusively for chat communication. I will probably get around to this in the morning. I will post the autohotkey file if/when I do.
Any thoughts/advice?
