So I am pretty much sold on most of the components, however I can always make mistakes so if anyone sees anything that looks out of place or something please let me know!

CPU: AMD FX-4170 AM3+ 4.2GHz

CPUfan: ZALMAN CNPS9900 NT 120mm 2 Ball Low-noise CPU Cooler (Greeeen)

Mobo: ASUS M5A99X EVO AM3+

RAM: G.SKILL Ripjaws X Series 8GB (2x4 1866) / Also considering the 1600 with 8-8-8-24 timings

GPU: Currently putting my old 9800GT in, but saving for either a HD7950 -OR- HD7970

HDD: I am waiting for a price drop. :|

PSU: OCZ ModXStream Pro 600W -modular

Case: Antec 300 Two Midtower (with USB 3.0)

Casefans: 5x120mm Apevia 1x140mm Apevia (all green LED)

Peripheral wise:
Joystick: I cannot decide between the Logitech G940 with all of the negative reviews I have seen of it. The Thrustmaster Warthog I might save up for but is damn expensive.
Saitek X-52pro is a possibility.
As you can see I am very set on a HOTAS (Will be playing Cliffs of Dover as well.)

The GTX 670 is only $400 and is really close to my gtx 680 :/. There is only like 4 FPS difference for $100 less, and availability does not seem to be an issue. Its also tiny and is very efficient.

The 670 should definitely be considered; it's a very fast card for the price.

It's about time Nvidia really comes out with an undeniable winner, but they really have

Until the 79xx series drops in price... again. Which AMD hopefully will. The 7970 and 7950 are still great cards to consider if you will do any GPGPU, and a 7970 will still be faster. Also, it's looking that the 670 is going to be having the same issues the 680 have... availability.

new egg has had the 670 in stock all day, I'm guessing that because nvidia had so many failed 680s that potential 670 chips are in decent supply. I kinda wish i had waited

GIve it a week and we'll see.

Then again, you might be right and the issue with the 680s is a large number of chips failing QC.
