Why aren't cockpit items universal?

It's getting old having to swap out my adorable little lanterns.

agree!! they might as well be universal. like you put a tick beside the ones you want on or have all the ones you own randomly generate during game.

Sweepstakes on whether it's my glorious Steiner hologo or Winston Urbie! Then, WHAM! No one knows about the coconut bobblehead I never use! The house always wins

I think they should be. It would increase their value. I don't think anyone in their right mind would buy more than 1 anyway. :P

EDIT:

Sell MC Modules as well that are exactly the same but you only need 1 for all your mechs or something. :)

Well I understand you guys, but this is something they should make cash on and I don't see a problem with that approach.
I even bought few of same items ( cheap ones ) to get around my laziness in some cases :)
What I don't support, is charging 750MC or 1000MC per figurine. So basically I don't buy them, not because I couldn't afford it... but I just don't think they are worth it. But again I can't or won't stop any one from buying overpriced crap... can I? :P

I think even 500 is overpriced, but this is something i can throw out occasionally.

And remember buying overpriced crap is not helping everyone, it will cause only flood of even more overpriced crap. This is basic economy... if you can sell junk cheap, why you should improve it or lower the price? In the long term customer will loose and producer alike cause he will loose the customer eventually.
