I’m pretty much a newbie on MWO and only played a few matches. The first two without teamspeak and then started using teamspeak.
Personally I think that teamspeak improves the gaming experience and fun immensely.

Now I understand that some people don’t like the idea to be talking with others or just have a short time to play and don’t want to lose time on te4amspeak looking for a pre-made group. Both valid reasons and fine in my eyes really.

What about if PGI integrates something like Teamspeak in MWO?
So we get the option in the settings to activate voice chat and will automatically be able to listen and talk to our team?
The advantage would be (beside saving some time), that some people could deactivate the feature all together, other just listen to the team and other participate actively.
I could imagine, that quite a few would enable the voice chat just to listen to it. Always helpful to listen to the team to know what’s going on. Maybe over time, more of them will start to participate too?

Now I know that there are some disadvantages as well. There is a risk of some rather chaotic chatting at the start of each match and some people might think it’s funny to abuse the chat (playing music and stuff), so maybe a voting to silence certain people should be included as well.

Don’t know, this could be a stupid idea, but I think it could lead improve the gaming experience to more people and make the game overall more popular.
