Since there doesn't seem to be a cockpit item feedback thread, I'll just post this here.

The stand on the Gazelle Dropship cockpit item looks hideous right now. The thing is like 40% dropship and 60% stand, and instead of admiring the ship while I'm in my mech, all I can notice is this massive unskinned circle "staring" at me. I think it would look a lot better with either a smaller stand, or maybe having it float in the air with some kind of futuristic antigravity stand instead. It'd be cool if it rocked back and forth with my mech too.

EDIT: Wait, it looks fine in a Catapult. It just looks bad in the Jenner because of the angle.

Put it on a hanger stand and let it swing around.

Something like this:

It was the first thing to come up in Google Images. Gimme a break.

That'd be cool. Or you could remove the chain and make it like those magnetic levitating globes.

everything the released: Cockpit items, paints & camos...all ugly. Either low resolution or horribly muted.

I disagree about paints and camos, cause I have noticed better Mech textures than before. But I think, that color palette is very limited. It consist of all sorts of grays and browns and doesn`t have bright and vibrant colors.
And I definitely agree about cockpit items. They are simple, low-poly, low-res textured. They a not worth their money.

I have only seen 1 in 'play' on someone's dash in spectator mode.

It looks pretty cool in the lab and I was thinking of getting one, until I saw the one I mentioned. I only can see the tail, underside of wings and the cockpit and a comparatively large stand to the size of the drop ship. I do not recall what mech the pilot was in, so as the OP says, may have been that.

I will continue to watch for more in play and take note of how it looks in each mech that I see cause I think the Drop Ship looks cool.

Maybe if it rocked around a little, or maybe if the angle was pointed down instead of up. I dont know...*shrugs*

Yes, considering the asking price, PGI might seriously wish to give the visuals of the cockpit items a second pass. Even that nV fairy has it's wing pulled out an floating detached from the body.

Also, an option to rotate some of the items or the option to select from a few different places to put them would be nice. Again, I'm bringing this up mainly because of the high cost.

Got one of these in my AWS-9M Awesome. It looks pretty dire.

The base certainly looks low resolution and does not properly fit onto my dashboard (It hangs over the edge like some sort of cowboy builder had free reign in my cockpit).

The model itself could use a bit more detail and some colour would not go amiss either (perhaps allow it to use the current colours on the Mech itself and/or any custom Decal. ie. Red + Black + Yellow mech with Steiner Logo = stock silver Gazelle or red + black + yellow gazelle, both with the possibility of using the Steiner Logo as per the mech).
