My inspiration comes from the firestorm cockpits I've read about but never seen in person. It would be really cool if we could use multi monitors for things other than expanding our field of view (which costs heavily in performance). How about if they took a page from the firestorm cockpits and allowed side monitors to display a full screen radar and/or a mech schematic showing damage and ammo etc?

I think it would be really cool for even those with just two monitors to display this information on the separate monitor rather than on the HUD of the primary monitor! Even if it doesn't have any more functionality than the small HUD version it'd be good for immersion and such.

I completely understand it would be unwise to put a ton of work into multi monitor support, many folks don't have more than one monitor and I really want the team to focus on building a good and fun game, but this would really make those of us with fancy setups happy =) I'm currently building my mech cockpit, about 3/4's of the way done with triple 28 inch monitors and a new logitech HOTAS FF plus rudder pedals system (640 I think). It's coming along nicely... just about 150 in lumber and paint, and lots of creative thinking... I'll post pics when it is done (hopefully within a week or so).

That would be a nice Toggleable Option to make available. Something to add on to the game as a patch eventually. :)
Stroke of luck, though, if they decide to implement it upon first release.

+1 Would definitely like multi-monitor support. I currently have 5 screens running off my system, and would be nice to simulate an actual cockpit!
